~Chapter~

After speaking with the Undertaker, we're taken back by carriage to Ciels town house.

Sebastian, Lau and Irene sat across from Ciel, Madam Red and I. While Grell drove the carriage back. From there, we discussed what our next move would be.

"The information we received narrows down our suspects." Ciel points out the obvious, "we should look at those with the necessary skills to locate, and remove something as difficult as the uterus. And find out their alibis for those nights the murders occurred." Sebastian places his pointer finger and thumb on his chin in thought, "removing the organs would suggest some kind of gruesome ritual. We should concentrate our investigation on people who are involved with secret societies." He suggests, "as if that narrows down the field!" Madam Red shouts, "why even I would have the medical skills necessary for this!" I lean over to Ciel, "does she?" Ciel nods, "she was a mid wife and a therapist a few years back. She knows a bit about the female body" I hum, "I see."

I kept a mental note on the new information.

"Besides that, the season is ending soon. Any doctors who followed the nobels to this city will be returning to the country! And then wha-"
"Then we'll have to conclude the investigation quickly." Sebastian cuts her off with a smile, "impossible." Lau states. Sebastian extends a hand to Irene, which she gladly takes, "Miss Irene and I will handle the investigation ourselves. It will be an even more simpler task if we both split up the list" Irene nods, "is that alright with you, mistress?" Irene asks me. I shrug, "I don't care what you do. It gets the troubling part out of the way" she hums, "very good. We'll get on that immediately then" she looks over to Sebastian, her smile never wavering, "shall we go, Sebastian?" He nods as he opens the carriage door, "of course. Lady's first~"

I watch as Irene climbs out of the carriage door, she turns back to me for a moment, "I'll see you when you get back to the town house, mistress" she waves, then jumps out of the moving carriage, and disappears from sight. Sebastian soon after starts to climb out himself. Ciel starts to shoo him off as Sebastian takes one final bow, "if you'll excuse us" and just like Irene, he disappears from the carriage, the door closing behind him.

I snicker as Madam Red and Lau press their faces up against the back window, to make sure the two hadn't died. But there they were, walking down the streets of London like they hadn't just jumped out of a moving carriage, smiling and all, "they know we're moving, right?!" Madam Red asks Ciel and I. I laugh lightly, "Irenes fine Madam Red, it's only a moving carriage."
"That's the problem!" She shouts. Ciel leans his head in his hand and smiles, "they'll take care of it for now, while we head home and have a cup of tea." He looks over to Madam Red, "like Lady Goldesbury said. Everything's fine, it's only a moving carriage."

Shortly after we arrive back at the town house, Grell let's us out of the carriage. Lau leads the way to the front door as we all silently walk up the stairs. Lau opens the door, and stops suddenly when we're greeted with a smiling butler and maid, "welcome back everyone, we've awaited for your return" Irene greets. Ciel and I push past the three shocked adults, and into the house.

Irene walks up to me to take off my coat for me. Sebastian does the same for Ciel, "the afternoon tea is ready for you all in the drawing room" Sebastian states. Ciel nods, "let's go upstairs and discuss this case further, Lady Goldesbury" I nod back, "sounds good to me" I respond.

"Hold on! How are you two here?!" Madam Red shouts. The two turn their attention to the adults still at the door, "we had finished our little errand, so Sebastian and I made our way back here to greet all of you" Irene explains. Madam Reds jaw drops, "you mean you made the suspect list already?!" Irene and Sebastian exchange glances, "well..." Sebastian starts. Irene pulls out three long rolls of paper, and hands them to Sebastian, "yes, we've made a list of names based off of what we had discussed. And then we contacted them all and asked the relevant questions" the room was silent. Irene leans forward and tilts her head at Madam Red, "it was quite easy actually, hehe" Madam Red shakes her head, "no I'm sorry, but that's impossible. Even if you two divided up the work, there's no way you two did it all under 7 minutes" Sebastian chuckles as he cuts open the papers. They roll out onto the floor as he began reading through them quickly, "Richard Oswald, family doctor of the Duke of Bailey. He spent the night with his friends at the White Horse Pub, no connection to secret societies. Madam Heavitt, surgeon at the Royal London Central Hospital. She was with a boy at the Stipple Inn, has no connection to secret societies. William Somerset, family doctor of the Earl Chambers. He was at a party hosted by the Earl Harwood, no connection to secret societies."
