Scattered Red

~Chapter~

Irene pushes Ciel and I out of the way as Grell swings her scythe at us. But she instantly takes more of a liking to Sebastian and starts swinging at him. Irene follows behind to go help, leaving Ciel and I alone with Madam Red.

We both glance towards the woman, she stood there silent, a small smile on her face. I push Ciel back a bit, "what are you doing?" He asks me, "Sebastian said to keep each other safe, that's what I'm doing." Ciel raises a brow, "yes, keep each other safe. Not you keeping me safe." He says. I look back at him and smile, "dont worry Ciel. If she tries anything, I've got it."

"Well, here we are." Madam Red says with a sad sigh, "you two are still taking orders from the queen. Which means that now, I'm you're prey." Madam Red reaches for her sleeve, I shift my weight a bit.

'She's got a knife concealed.'

"But if it's hunt, or be hunted." She quickly pulls out a knife, and starts running towards Ciel and I, "there's only one thing I can do!" I push Ciel and myself away from the knife. I didn't move quickly enough though, with there being another person here. I get cut on my arm, "ow-"
"Rosalie!" Madam Red swings her knife again but I catch her hand. She tries grabbing me with her free one, but I quickly grab that one as well. Although, because it's the one where she cut me, I wasn't able to hold onto her for long. Madam Red shoves me out of the way, and cuts Ciels hand when he tries to block it, "Ciel!" I get up, and pull out a gun that was tucked in my dress pocket. I fire it, the bullet nipping Madam Red in the hand. She drops the knife, "ah!" She looks over at me, an angered expression on her face. I smirk, "gotcha now, bitch." Madam Red growls, "you damn brat! You'll pay for that!" She screams at me. Although she made threats, Madam Red couldn't do anything in the current situation. She was unarmed, and I had a gun pointed at her.

"You're a doctor! How could you do it?!" Ciel asks, grabbing his hand to stop the bleeding, "you wouldn't understand if I told you! You're just a child!" She screams at him. Madam Red reaches back into her dress, and pulls out a scalpel. I gasp.

'Shit!'

She grabs Ciel by the throat, while also lifting the scalpel to him, "DROP THE GUN OR I'LL KILL HIM!" She screams hysterically at me. My eyes widen, I look between her and Ciel a couple of times. I wasn't sure what to do. Risk getting Ciel killed, or risk getting the both of us killed. But her grip was tightening around his neck, choking him.

He looks at me from the corner of his eyes, shaking his head the best he could before shutting them again, gasping for air. I grit my teeth, "Damnit.." I had to put it down. I slowly lower the gun, dropping it onto the ground, and kick it away. Madam Red loosens her grip around Ciels neck, allowing him to breathe a bit. She tucks her scalpel away, before reaching for my gun. She points it at me, "hands up." I swallow nervously, raising my hands above my head.

'I seriously fucked up.'

"Madam Red. Please, if you just tell us why-"
"Shut up! As if that'll change anything! You wouldn't understand. Nor would it get me out of this situation!" I start moving towards her slowly.

'This is stupid. This is so so stupid.'

"Madam Red. Are you really willing to kill Ciel? Isn't he all you have left from your family?" I decided the guilt tripping route was probably the best way to do this. Madam Red grits her teeth, her grip tightening around the gun, "don't come any closer!" I stop walking, "okay. Sorry." Madam Red scoffs, laughing sadly, "Ciel? The only family I have left?" She points the gun at him, causing me to flinch, "Madam Red-!"
"He's a constant reminder that my family is gone! This...this brat!" She snaps her head back over at me, "he should've never been born!" My eyes widen, afraid she was about to kill him, "Madam Red! No!" I start running towards her in a seconds moment of panic, but stop when I hear the gun go off. I didn't realize what had happened for a moment, but then I felt a pain in my side. Ciels eyes widen when he too saw it, "Rosalie..?" I look down at my side, my hands immediately started to shake at the red stain that started to spread.
