"YOU WANT TO DO WHAT?!"
After composing myself from speaking with Elizabeth, I went inside and met with Ciel in his office. There, we talked about me finding the hope Diamond ring, and what I wanted to do.
I figured, since I found it (or it found me), I might be the rings next target. As the ladies previously who found the ring, disappeared. So, I suggested, I'd give the culprit the opportunity to come for me, to kidnap me. Then Ciel and the others could follow me and see where I ended up. But I guess Ciel didn't take to that plan.
"Absolutely not! We're not putting you in reckless danger!" He shouts. I fold my arms, "and why not? Ciel I've been in plenty of dangerous situations before, just like you have. Our jobs are dangerous, it's in the description with becoming the head of our households." I pause, "I'm fully aware of the fact that it's dangerous, and so I'm more than capable of going through with jobs such as this. I was trained for this Ciel." Ciel pinches the bridge of his nose, he sighs, "I'm more than aware you're capable of handling yourself, you're the Golden Rose for a reason." He looks back up at me seriously, "But Rosalie, we know next to nothing about this case, we were never even assigned to it. Of course I want to figure it out either way because I'm curious, but at the same time, I wouldn't feel entirely comfortable if a colleague of mine got herself captured before we know anything." I shrug, "so what? Keep me safe until we find out more?" Ciel hums, "I'd feel better if we did it that way, yes."
"So you're agreeing I should get myself captured. Then why are we arguing?"
"Because," he starts, "YOU want to get kidnapped by some perverted lunatic as soon as possible, while I'M saying we should wait. Know our enemy before we put you into reckless danger." I huff, "Fine, I get it."
Ciel leans back on his desk and sighs, "wonderful. Then please have Irene keep you safe until we know more." He orders. I nod, "alright, I'm sorry Ciel ." I respond. He waves his hand, "it's alright now, I'm sorry I yelled."
He sighs again, "anyways, keep the ring on you though. It's our key clue in this. I'll call you tomorrow when I've found more information, you focus on keeping yourself safe till then." I frown, "so I get to do nothing while you work all night?" I ask. Ciel nods, "yup." I hang my head, "that's no fun." I whine, "well it's either that or you help me out by making yourself vulnerable. We need to make sure where you are at all times, and that's at your manor, with Irene, a demon. And with your servants, who are able to watch the area." I look back up at Ciel with an unamused look. I roll my eyes and sigh, "fine."
'I hate having to sit aside in a case I'm apart of.'

On our way back to the manor to sit and wait. Irene and I get stuck in traffic.
She pushes aside the curtain to the window and sighs, "I think they're doing construction on the underground." Irene drops the curtain and looks over at me with an apologetic smile, "it seems we'll be stuck here for a while." she says. I don't respond for a moment, I was focused on tracing my fingers on the hope Diamond.
"Mistress?" I flinch, "huh?" She frowns, "are you alright?" Irene asks, tilting her head a bit. I pause before shrugging, "I'm a little annoyed, if I'm being honest."
"And why is that?" Irene asks. I exhale through my nose, placing the hope piece in my jacket pocket, "I just- I don't like feeling useless. Like, Ciel gets to do ALL the investigating? While I just sit and wait? I'm the one who found the ring in the first place, why can't I help?" I ask. I grip my dress in my hands, "I feel so useless. I can handle myself." I pause, "I just want to help out is all. I have the power to do so now. So why even now do I have to sit by and let someone else do the work for me? To what? Protect me?" I ask angrily. Irene frowns, "Mistress, you're not useless."
"Right now I am!" I reply in an angered tone, "I never want to feel how I did all those years ago again...I don't-.." my hands began to shake again.
