Paglabas ko ay gayon din ang pag daan ng katulong dala dala ang pagkain. I saw Thorn on the terrace. Nagtungo ako sa kanya at umopo sa kanyang harapan.
The sun was shining bright today. Good day for a swim. He was on the phone when he see me sitting infornt of him he drop the call.
"Who's that?"
"Si kuya."
"Bakit daw?"
"His going somewhere in Mindanao. He needs me to take over for the mean time."
"Are you going back?"
Umiling siya. "I ask dad already if he can lead...he agreed and beside I have business to finish."
I drink from my coffee when I remembered Drisella.
"Kasal na ba si, Dria?"
Umiling siya.
"Nope... she's a single mom."
"Hindi siya pinagutan? Like how can you not notice her having boyfriends?"
"I did... I just shrugged it off. Never knew she would end up being pregnant. "
Ngumuso ako.
"And Enzo? Never seen Galina lately. Did they broke up?"
"You can say that."
"Oh! So he's single?"
Kumunot ang noo niya.
"No... Let's not talk about him." He said in a dismissive tone.
"Are you feeling nauseous?any weird cravings?"
I rolled my eyes.
"Thorn we just did it last nigth. It will take months to notice symptoms if I were pregnant."
"Advance lang akong mag isip." Mataman nitong saad at umiwas ng tingin.
Natawa ako sa sinabi niya. Matapos namin mag breakfast. I went inside our room at nagbihis ng two piece. He brought me some clothes when he was in Manila yesterday. Ngayong umuga niya lang naipakita sa akin.
I wore a red string two piece bikini. Tumayo siya ng lumabas ako ng banyo.
"Wear this. I don't want my men gawking over your body. "
I pouted and put the white cloth on.
Pareho kaming bumaba at nagtungo sa beach. I didn't see his man around. Nagkibit balikat ako at nanatiling naka kandong kay Thorn.
"When we go back to Manila. I will paint again. Gusto ko mag exhibit."
"Hmm...what about your work?"
Nilingon niya ako gamit ang kanyang mapupungay na mata.
I shrug. "Mag resign ako, then after the exhibit mag hahanap ako ng trabaho."
"I can help you with that."
Umiling ako agad. "Nope. You will stay out of this matter. Alright?"
Lumabi siya at pinatong ang baba sa aking balikat.
"What if I won't?"
"Then, walang baby ang magaganap."
His eyebrows meet. His bloodshot eyes stared at me like I said something so cruel. Tinaasan ko lang ito ng kilay.
"Fine..." Labas sa ilong niyang anya. "Hindi mo rin naman malalaman."
"Thorn, I'm serious!"
"I'm serious too, Dalhia!"
"Change of plan. When we go back I'll set an appointment with my doctor... I'll get shots-"
"Fine, fine, fine!"
A victory smiled appear on my lips.
Ng napag desisyonan ko nang maligo hinubad ko ang shirt. I heard Thorn whistle. Hindi ko siya pinansin at nagpatuloy sa pagtungo sa dagat. Hanggang dibdib lang ay huminto na ako. I sink my self to wet my hair. Umahon ako. Narinig ko ang isang yate sa malayo.
"Dalhia!" Sigaw ni Thorn at pinababalik ako.
Umahon ako sa dagat at nag tungo sa kanya he wrap me with his towel and made me wear the shirt I was wearing earlier.
"Sila dad na ba yan?" I asked.
Seryo lamang siyang tumango.
We all settled down in the living room. They're discussing something when I went down. Umopo ako sa tabi ni mommy at nakinig sa kanilang sinasabi.
"Rachel Digosman talked to me...she wants to put his brother to jail."saad ni Thorn. "I've hired men to search for him. In the mean time, Dalhia should stay here for her safety. "
"Thank you for your help, hijo."aniya ni Daddy.
"No worries tito. I would do anything for Dalhia."he said.
Natahimik silang lahat. Mommy looked at me.
"Did you have your breakfast mom?dad?lolo?"
Umiling sila. I stood up.
"Magpapaluto ako. "
Nah tungo ako sa kusina at sinabi kay Rona ang dapat lulutoin. I did help too, though I don't know how to cook, tumulong parin ako.
Tumulong rin ako sa pag lagay ng pinggan at kubyertos.
"Hindi ka ba niya sinaktan?"
Napatalon ako sa gulat ng bumungad sa aking tabi so Troy.
"Yup, he... explain his side..."
"You forgive him?"
"Yes."maliit na tinig kong aniya.
He stared at me deeply. Then a warm smile went out of his lips. He tap my head.
"Your grandfather, really wants to kill me the time you escape from my sight."
Natawa ako.
"He wouldn't dare...mawawalan siya ng magaling na sundalo."
Tumaas pareho ang kilay niya.
When I turned rigth halos mapatalon ako sa gulat ng bumungad ang masamang tingin ni Thorn sa amin. He was leaning on the dinnings door frame while arms both cross.
"Kanina ka pa gyan?"
Hindi siya umimik at masamang nilingon ang tabi ko.
I place the plates on the table and went closer to him. I grab his arm and pulled him to walk towards Troy.
"Thorn, I would gladly introduce you to Troy," saad ko at tinuro si Troy. "Troy this is, Thorn..." Baling ko kay Troy.
"C'mon. Mag hand shake kayo."saad ko.
Hindi sila nakinig. Umiwas ng tingin si Troy at nagkunwaring tinitignan ang buong dinning room. Thorn on the other hand remain stoic. Pinanlakihan ko siya ng mata. Kunot noo niya akong tinignan.
"Offer your hand. "I whispered.
His eyes turned vein and ruthless.
"Thorn."malamig kong aniya.
He heavy sighed and offer his hand without looking at the man infront of us. Troy has this smirk in his lips at tinanggap ang pakikipagkamay ni Thorn.
