Chapter-21 Confrontation

Preeti walked out with Anand and Bela, who had their heads hung down. Rihaan was inside, arguing with the Principal.
His parents were confronting him but still, he is refusing to give up.
"Preeti, Ruko," Naina came running outside,"Preeti," She held her wrist.
"What did you blabber inside?? You are in relationship with Rihaan?? Seriously?? Should I believe it??"
She was silent.
"Come on Preeti, I am hundred percent sure, you can never do such thing,"
Preeti let the hot tears roll down her cheeks.
"Will anyone believe me Naina?? My parents, his parents, principal, did anyone except you believed me?? No na, I am tired of crying and shouting stating that I am innocent. If they say that I am guilty, let it be. My conscience knows that I am not. Moreover, Swati..." She inhaled sharply as fresh tears rolled down.
"Swati??" Naina asked,"What did Swati say??"
"Swati also said that I am guilty,"
"What??"
Swati said something so. Why??
Don't she know about Preeti??
"Preeti, look at me," Naina held her wrist tight,"You are not at fault. You are innocent. Just for now, you and me know it but one day, I promise, I will make everyone believe in you,"
Preeti hugged Naina.
Anand and Bela looked at duo with fresh tears rolling down.
"You know what Preeti ki Papa??" Bela said,"My friend Anuradha na?? She also used to be like this, supporting me in every difficult situation, just like how Naina and Preeti are,"

Swati say on chair, face palming herself. Her eyes burned and throat was dry, wishing to have bottles of water at once.
"Hey Swati," Kamya called out,"Not going to your stall??"
"I must go," She replied in tired voice.
"Kya hua?? Any problem."
"Nothing, Actually..."
"SWATI!!!!"
The two girls snapped their head at direction were Naina shouted with bloodshot eyes.

Sameer reclined back on the bed.
"Hmm, Surgery at afternoon, patient must have his stomach empty before four hours," Pooja gave final instructions,"Make sure that Nurse administers pre surgical dose of Medicines immediately after food,"
Anuradha nodded.
"Take care hero," Pooja said with a smile,"Be brave, just a minor surgery,"
Sameer nodded with a weak smile.

Ayush and Mallika walked down the corridor.
"Thanks Malli," He greeted,"If you hadn't helped me, I would have never eliminated both the guys at same time,"
"It's okay, I did this not only for you but for my bff Sid too. He can become the vice captain. Moreover I and Rihaan had past scores to settle."
"Are you still not over that incident??"
"How can I?? He insulted me in front of everyone,"
"That's why you framed him??"
"Exactly," Mallika gave an evil grin,"Mallika leaves no stone unturned when it comes to revenge,"

Munna was shocked to hear things.
"Naina, just a second," He stopped the furious girl who was lashing out at Swati who was still like stone sans emotions.
"What Munna??" A frustrated reply came.
"Did Mallika bring Swati to Principal room to force her to confess things??"
Naina nodded.
"Naina," Munna slapped his forehead,"Mallika is the real culprit and it was never Ayush!!"
"What do you mean??"
"I could get you Munna," Pundit nodded,"I got you man!!"
"Munna and Pundit, could you guys put the point straight??"
Grace asked in an annoyed tone.
"Actually, one day back at training, Ayush and Sid, the two former captain and vice captain of team, walked in. They were taunting Sameer and Rihaan for being opportunistic, Sameer gave a deaf ear for their comments and moved away, while Rihaan lashed out at Ayush and Sid."
"What's there here to do with Mallika??"
"Hmm," Munna hummed,"I will say,"
"Patience," Pundit stressed.
"Then followed an ugly fight and Rihaan bet Ayush and Sid. That's when the then discipline monitor Mallika was called by Sameer, he actually failed in seperating the guys fighting."
Dead silence.
"Then Mallika, tried to reason Sir's behaviour and that's when Rihaan shot back at her stating that she was partial, etc.
This matter escalated to then coach, who forwarded information to Principal and had things done under wraps.
After few days, Mallika was asked to resign and fresh selection was held. That's when Naina was selected."

Rakesh pulled out his files, checking for legal documents which were to be attatched with the loan papers came under his seat process. Working at the no.1 public sector bank of the country as Gold Loan officer, holding cash key, was no easy task. Illegal jewelry, at times had made rounds, resulting in fines for the Officers handling them.
Now as the clock struck 1 at afternoon, situation became tougher with customers swarming in.

"I am here to meet Mr Rakesh Agarwal, Say him that Chandra is here," He informed the peon, who turned over his heels, pacing towards the officer in the cabin.
"Excuse me sir, Someone is here to meet you, he said his name is Chandra,"
Rakesh face lit up inspite of tiredness.
"He is my old family friend, ask him to come in,"

Chandra settled in front of Rakesh. They were meeting after long time, nearly 14 years later.
"So how are you?? What brings you to the bank straight?? All okay??"

"A small accident back at school," Chandra sighed,"Some guy pushed him against the book rack instead of someone he was planning to,"

"Then?? Sameer, my son, got hurt, minor fracture in right leg and surgery is scheduled at afternoon."

"I paid the pre surgery amount with the liquidity at home, now here to withdraw the deposit of 2 lakhs in my name,"
