Chapter-9 Two sides of a coin Jealousy and Love

"The point is.." Naina took her unruled note out and was explaining Grace the sum that was highly confusing. It was from Integral Calculus.
Naina loved Maths and Biology. Though she had a little interest for Chemistry, Physics sucked according to her.
Maths is the language of the Gods of Science.
She had heard this proverb a long back from someone and that made her develop interest for this subject.
To develop interest for the language of the Gods of Science.
"We are not applying limits. So an arbitrary constant must be included for sure."
Grace nodded vigorously.
"Every sum has a definite format. All we do must guess the right one and apply the appropriate formula."
Flipping through the pages of the book, she arrived at the formulae page.
"For the First time, arrive at the standard format and try applying the formula by refering it. In such cases, go for exercise sums."
"Second time, arrive at the standard format and try applying the formula without refering it. In such cases, example sums are better as you can verify answers."
Naina looked at Grace who was listening keenly. It was break period then.
Grace was a foodie but still was ready to spare it for Maths.
Unbelievable.
"While learning the chapter within a short duration, this will be helpful as you will be thorough with formulae. All you need is practising different sums and understanding how to get the desired format."
"Thank you Naina.",
Grace said with a wide smile.
Naina cleared the clutter on the table and pulled the tiffin box from her bag.
"Can I join you??",She heard a sweet voice from behind.
It was Sunaina.She had been Sameer's classmate since 9th grade.
"Sure.",Grace moved a little,providing space for her to join.
Nowadays Naina, Grace and Kamya had started having lunch in their own classrooms as they all felt the need to mingle with their new classmates.
Social skills for sure, must be nurtured within them.
We, the gang, can't stick together at all times in life.
Naina had thought.
"So Naina?? How are your studies going??"
"It's going well."
"Have they completed Biology portions for you??"
"Almost."
It won't be completed till our botany sir exists.
"Computer science portions got over a long time ago."
What's there to learn in that?? It's just...
No Naina!!
She remembered Sameer.
"Oh."
"Everyone of us in our class like computer science..I mean the computer science students of our class."
Naina hummed.
"Especially Sameer."
Sunaina paused for a good five seconds and continued
"And Me."
Naina stared at her.
"Can you see the similarity between us? I mean, our tastes are same. Aren't they?"
Sunaina must have been thankful for Naina not possessing the third eye of Lord Shiva.
Legend had it that the third eye of Lord Shiva opens when he is really angry with a person and the person gets reduced to ashes once the third eye lingers over him.
If Naina possesed it,She would have been reduced to ashes by then.
"Kamya called me." Sunaina continued
Kamya?? Calling you??
"She was the one who told me about the tuition we are going to."
Tuition??
Kamya!!
"She said that Sameer also comes there."
It's no secret. Everyone in class knew that.
"Sameer's choice will be the best. Being his classmate for three years I know him very well."
Not more than what I know about him.
Why does this ladki speak about Sameer?
I feel the same Anika felt with Tia.
This luchi tuchi ladki is getting on my nerves.
"Can we talk about something else? Why Sameer?"
I love talking or hearing about Sameer but I don't want Sunaina to do that.
"Ok." Sunaina muttered.Her eyes darkened. Naina could see disappointment painted all over her face.
Why is Sunaina talking only about Sameer??
Her choice of words in particular are making me feel both worried and angry at the same time.
In simple words, they are making me feel jealous.
Wait!! Did she come to tuition just because Sameer comes there??
Can I interpret her words so??

Rest of the break went silent. Sunaina did not utter a word.
Did I behave rude or is she feeling disappointed??
Wait. Does Sunaina have feelings for Sameer??
Naina eyed Sameer who was having his breakfast while being immersed in his notes.
I wish to throw those notes out and beat him black and blue.
I am getting tensed because of this luchi tuchi Sunaina while he is sitting like Captain cool, reading his notes.
Aarrghhh..
I mentally stabbed Sameer infinite times with a sharp knife.
"Naina." She heard Sunaina calling.
Who are you Sunaina?

Saudamini of Barrister Babu??
Who are you in my life??
"Naina." She heard her calling her again.
"Haan."
"Where was your mind...You seemed lost??"
"No. I was just thinking about the seminar I must give in the upcoming physics class."

Preeti's class
Preeti sat there, eating her lunch.Her friends have stopped meeting at breaks,So she had her lunch with her classmates,who were now good friends of her. She was an extrovert thankfully,Cause that was what made her survive in that class,with no one from her ex-class to accompany her.She smiled a bit,thinking about how she had cried earlier, when she had first come to this class.None of her friends were there, let alone best friends.She had asked Hema's mom to help her shift to Swati's section,But it so happened that Hema alone went to Swati's section,leaving Preeti alone,in a class where she knew literally none.She had entered this class,found a place to sit in, and boom! She had started crying.
Poor Subhi, Girl must have got scared.
I cried for an hour...Gosh I'm such a cry baby.
I had no one though...But that's when Vihaan came.
Vihaan.
She had been crying a lot,praying a lot, asking God to take her from this section,But the next day,Vihaan had come to get class,asking a volunteer transfer.She too by then,had accepted the reality and had started making friends.
Vihaan.
That name,it brought a smile to her face. She didn't know when it all started,but all she knew was he was the boy,that small kid, who had wiped her tears and had said 'All is well,Don't worry' when her balanced diet model was found broken in her grade 3.
They continued to be in the same class and were often bench mates,So she had a lot of memories with him.
She had a profound smile on her face as she recollected more.
She always had a thing for people who sang,And Vihaan from 9th grade,had started singing.
She remembered them having the same favourite song
Mein phir tumko chaaungi..
But she knew, Why he likes that song.
She had heard the rumours too.
The rumour about Meera and Vihaan. Her close friend and her crush.
Well,she can't flip out tables for that,Can she?
So far,There wasn't a single soul in the school to know about her crush.
But then, Yesterday,She had shamelessly accepted her crush to Naina,her soul sister.
Will she think bad of me?
Arrey yaar Preeti ... That's why you must not get this excited...
But...how did she guess it was Vihaan??
Was it that obvious??
"Preeti?"
She jolted up,hearing someone calling her name.
Her eyes softened.
"Yeah?"
"Ready to go to biology class?We have to go to Swati's class right?",Asked,Vihaan,His orbs a brilliant brown.
"Yeah,I'm done ... Let's go!", She smiled.She always smiled when he was around.
"You're really excited to meet your gang aren't you?"
The gang met for biology classes, luckily.They had all taken biology as their Subject no.1,and when bio classes were held, Naina' s,Preeti's and Swati' s classes were taught together,in a single class .Also,that was when she had a chance to sit near Vihaan,as their seats were closer.
"Yeah,I really am,We didn't even meet for breaks you know"
Vihaan nodded his head,Smiling.
"And Vihaan..."
"Yeah"
"Advance Happy Birthday"
Vihaan smiled.
Preeti. Control.
I could feel my cheeks heated up at mere thought that his smile is due to my wish.
Gosh!!
He looks cute while smiling.
Preeti smiled back.
Naina saw everything from the door.
Preeti is smiling like a lovestruck maniac.
God!! Save this innocent child from that Devil Vihaan.
Vihaan can never be in good books of Naina.
