Sameer was trying to be normal. Laying down on the bed in the nursing room, He could see the doctor trying to administer the pain killers via injection.

"Just breathe in and breath out, deep breaths," She instructed as she held the syringe against the skin making him breathe in sharply.

"It's okay,"

She rubbed the cotton bud against the skin where the pain killers had been injected.

"This would make you feel numb at the place of fracture for the next one hour or two,"

Sameer nodded.

The doctor took leave as another student walked in with a wound on his knee to be treated, thanks to his enthusiasm during the sports period.

Sameer closed his eyes and took deep breaths to feel his pain evaporating. But then his pre-frontal cortex began to show up the things that happened a few minutes ago as a flash.

Flashback
Sameer was holding the edge of the bed tight to prevent himself from yelling due to pain that shot through his right leg.
Though he was trying to consume the pain caused by the injury and act like he was normal, the tears rolling down his already red cheeks were betraying him terribly.
He could see Pundit standing in front of him, with his hands crossed against his chest and eyes reverberating the tension of the atmosphere.
Munna was gone following Rithi to fetch Naina.
"It's paining," Sameer managed to mutter.
"I could understand Sameer but as per protocols, I need your prefect and class teacher's signature to proceed with pain killers, etc. Basics had been provided to you already."
Pundit sighed due to frustration.
Just then,
"Excuse me, mam," A sweet voice vibrating with anxiety hit their eardrums.
Naina!!
"Yes, how can I help you?"
"Dr, I am Naina Agarwal, the class prefect,"
"Oh! Come soon and sign this form, let me start with the procedure. Your class teacher had signed it already."
Naina fished out a pen from her pouch in a hurried manner and signed the form.
"Ok, Sameer lay down,"
Sameer laid down with great difficulty.
"Aahh..."
A few more tears made their way down from his eyes.
"It's okay be slow. Be careful."
"Dr?" Naina interfered, "Better we can make him be in a half sit position, this might prevent dislocation of bones till we are done with attaching a sling to his injured leg,"
It won't pain too!!
"Fine, that's a good idea," She exclaimed, "Can you prop the pillows against his back and shoulders,"
Naina nodded as she began arranging while glancing at Sameer at times.
"Good."
After good 30 minutes,
"I hope he has a minor fracture along with two hairlines near the calf,"
The doctor said with traces of worry lingering on her face.
"Better if we shift him to a hospital ASAP,"
"Let me do the needy," Naina assured.
In a span of five minutes, a letter was penned down by the doctor and Naina sprang into action.
"Pundit, inform Sameer's parents,"
"Rithi, you and I shall take care of official permission-related works while if any one of us meet Munna, make sure that you inform him to pack Sameer's belongings."
The two nodded vigorously.
Sameer felt tired.
He was having his head drooping down more often.
"Feeling tired?"
The doctor asked.
Sameer nodded.
"Can he have coffee? Caffeine shall give some energy or precisely boost the activity of the brain, thanks to the dopamine stimulation,"
Naina asked immediately.
"Hmm...you can." The doctor said with a smile, "I hope you are a biology student? Aren't you?"
Naina nodded.
"You guys aren't biology students?"
"No," Pundit replied, "We all are computer science students,"
Naina smiled.
"Excuse me, doctor, I must go to the IC for collecting the forms,"
"Sure," Doctor smiled while Naina walked away quickly with Rithi leaving behind a wondering Sameer.
