It was almost a month now. Naina was walking towards her classroom, with the typical hustle and bustle around. It had been a long time since she saw the two most important people in her life- Sameer and Preeti. Both of them were in some sort of pain, badly hurting her. Sighing, she stepped inside the classroom.

"How are you man??"

"God, the medicines had sucked the vigour of your face,"

"My goodness, how is your leg now?" The concerned voices of her classmates stormed her ears.

The next moment, a name struck her mind, SAMEER.

Her gaze involuntarily reached the last bench where Sameer used to sit usually but he wasn't there. The desperate eyes scanned the place in a hurry, only to find him in front, in a wheelchair.

He was having a smile on his face. How long has it been since / saw him smiling??

Munna was ruffling Sameer's hair, cracking jokes. He too had missed Sameer a lot. At last, / could see some colour in my monotonous black and white life.

Sameer turned his face casually, with his eyes meeting Naina's. Both of their lips curved up and their eyes sparkled. He waved his hand in polite hello, and Naina reciprocated.

Beaming with a smile, Naina walked towards her bench, only to find an enthusiastic Grace.

"Hello Nainu..." Grace greeted and Naina was stumped, as her cheeks heated up. A momentary flashback of Sameer calling her so popped up in her mind.

"NAINA" Grace yelled, bringing her back to her senses.

"Yeah...Grace,"

"Well, Guess who came to school today??" "Umm...Sameer..." Her eyes shifted in his direction.

"Who cares about him??" Grace waved her hand in dismissal.

Why must she care... Naina beti!!

"Then who??"

"Are you serious??" Grace rolled her eyes,

"Preeti came,"

Naina gasped as realisation hit her. One month's suspension of Preeti got over by yesterday.

Why am / so absent-minded??

"Where is she??"

"In her class,"

Naina dropped her bag next to her bench in a hurry, while checking the time. Still, ten minutes more for the prayer to start.

She walked towards XI-E to meet Preeti.

Preeti could clearly understand the change in dimensions, after that awkward incident. The judgemental looks had increased but now she was immune to it. Pulling out her braid, she did a high raise pony, which was clearly against the rules of the school. She looked happier than ever! A confident smile on her lips.

Who cares about rules if they play in favour of the corrupt and evil?? Who cares about them, if they can't help proving the innocence of innocents??

Subhi, who walked in, stood stoic in front of the bench, where Preeti was sitting. Preeti looked at her and didn't speak a word.

"How are you??" Came a hushed concern, from the former.

"Fine, How are you??" Preeti replied. "Fine," Subhi hesitated for a second, "Will you mind, moving a bit so that I could sit??" Preeti couldn't help wondering.

"You want to sit with me??"

"Yeah,"

"Yes,"

"But??"

"You can sit with me," Preeti gave space for Subhi to sit.

Subhi smiled warmly.

"Preeti," Naina walked in, and the entire class went silent looking at her. Nope, they didn't go silent looking at

Naina. The reason was someone else. Preeti stared at the two people standing one behind another. The tall frame of Vihaan was visible behind the visibly shocked Naina, who was stumped due to the sudden silence.
