Chapter-24 Nainu??

Naina looked at him with an 'unbelievable' look.
Even Sameer was tongue-tied for a second.
I had been calling her Nainu when we were kids but is it right to call her so now??
"It's okay you can call me so," Naina smiled hiding her crimson red turning cheeks barely with the hair strands.
An awkward silence followed.
That's when they noticed the hold on each other's palms. Naina pulled her palm back.
"Sorry..."
She stood up.
"Take care of your health,"
That's when the elders walked in.
"Ok Naina, let's get moving, Visitors time is over,"
"Haan Papa,"
Munna smirked at Sameer while indicating his cheeks.
Sameer understanding the signal looked down so that no one shall notice him blushing.
But then Anuradha did notice.

"I never knew that Preethi did this, you never said to me??" Rakesh asked Naina who was sitting silent contemplating things that happened that day. A lot of twists and turns happened.
"Naina, I am asking you,"
"What Papa??"
"Where are you lost??"
"Nothing Papa, just project related,"
All except project related in actual.
"I was asking like why you didn't tell me about Preeti to me??"
" Papa, Preeti is not like the girl you think, she had been trapped in the plan hatched by that bloody Ayush,"
"If it was all plan, why was she suspended?? Why did she accept her fault??"
"She was tired fighting Papa,"
"This is the cliché reason everyone gives after getting caught red-handed,"
"Papa!!"
"I want to say just one thing Naina," Rakesh said in a deep voice, "Better stay away from Preeti, she might spoil you,"
"Pa..."
"What your Papa says is right Naina, just listen to your parents, clear??" Rama joined in.
Naina sighed as frustration piled up inside her. 
If I ever get that Ayush in hand, I swear it will be his last day on Earth.

"Ma," Sameer held Anu's palm," Preeti is really innocent, even according to me Rihaan is also innocent," 

"What makes you blabber like that Sameer? The tablets and anesthetic had taken a toll on your sanity,"

"Mom, I am not insane," Sameer rebuked, "Just listen to me once, the entire outline, then you may conclude who is the culprit,"

"Swati, why did you even lie?" Naina tried to be calm and composed but still, her words had an icing of desperateness and anger on them, "Do you know what else happened because of the fake confession you gave?"

"I don't know Naina, but all I knew is that you are safe,"

"Me safe? What is that about?"

"Naina...Actually," Swati explained everything that happened in actuality. Every word had a connection with the past and the future.

Preeti sat silently in corner of the unkept bed. With the books thrown random on the table, and the bag hanging precariously on the nail, she could feel the negative enigma surrounding her. All these were entirely new to her. Perhaps the things she never wished to happen in her life. 

"Don't worry Anand, I will take care of..." Preeti shivered as she heard a voice she wished to hear never in her life.

It was Taiji from her dad's native village.

"Let Preeti stay with me for a month, till her suspension time gets over," Taiji continued, "I will discipline her,"

Staying with Taiji?? It's better if my Papa sentences me to death.
