It is a crisp fall Massachusetts morning that makes me cuddle deeper into my blankets. As I relish in the quiet of this Saturday morning, I'm abruptly awakened by an over excited five year old jumping on my bed.

"Come on mom! We need to get ready! Chris will be here any minute! Come on!" Is what I hear from Eli as he continues to jump on the bed.

I roll over and grab him, pulling his little body into mine and start to tickle him. He starts squirming trying hard to both not laugh and get away from me. I let him go when he lets out an exasperated, "Mom!"

I start laughing at his behavior. "Geez! I wish you would be this excited to do things with me!"

He pouts at me with mischievous green eyes twinkling. "Aw mom, I do like doing things with you, but Chris is a cool fireman!"

"Ouch, I see how it is. Well, I guess I should be happy you like my boyfriend!" I say with a fake pout.

Eli snuggles back up to me wrapping his around my neck giving me a kiss to the cheek. "You will always be my favorite, mom. I love you."

My heart felt like it exploded from his tenderness. I hugged him trying to contain the tears threatening to fall, while mumbling a soft "I love you too."

I let him go and let out a shaky laugh. I felt my phone vibrate with a notification from Chris saying he was on his way. As soon as I read it out loud, Eli bolted from my bed to his bedroom to get ready. I get up as well and start rushing through my morning routine. I pull my hair into a bun and do light makeup. Thankfully I had already picked out an outfit the night before which consisted of skinny dark wash distressed jeans, a loose white V-neck t-shirt and a dark green bat wing sleeve cardigan sweater. I quickly get my clothes on and put my brown combat boots on.

Eli comes stumbling out of the bathroom as he slid his Patriots sweatshirt over a white t-shirt with his dark wash distressed jeans on and his red converse in his hands. I help him get his shoes on and smooth out his hair. I make sure we have everything we need in my mini backpack when we hear knocking on the door. I open it to find Chris standing there in dark wash jeans with a Patriots sweatshirt and cap, and his work style boots.

I start laughing. "Did you two plan this last night?"

Chris looks at me with a confused expression until he looks down at Eli. He lets out a loud laugh while clutching his chest and throwing his head back. Eli looks at him and starts laughing too.

"We didn't plan it, but I like you even more now little man." Chris kneels down to Eli's level and gives him a fist bump.

He stands back up ad hugs me before giving me a small peck to the lips.

"You two ready to go? We have a full day of activities to get to!" Chris sounds as excited as Eli did this morning.

"Yes!" Eli shouts while running over to my car to get his seat.

We get the booster seat and him all situated in Chris's truck and he starts driving to the diner. We get breakfast and I can't help but laugh at the boys and their excited chat about the day ahead.

After breakfast, which I finally got to pay for, we headed out to Boston. Once in Boston, we find our way to the farmer's market.

It is busy, full of people and filled with an electricity you can only find in a big city. We browse as many stands as we can, stopping here and there to pick up fruits and vegetables.

We decided to grab lunch from one of the many stands and find out way to the nearby park to eat. After we finished out lunch we headed to the zoo.

Eli was excitedly talking to Chris about all the animals while sitting on his shoulders going from one spot to the next.
