The next morning I'm woken up early by Chris shifting off of the bed to get ready for work. He lightly kisses my shoulder before heading to the bathroom. I turn back over and go back to sleep enjoying the quiet of the morning for the first time in a while, I barely even register Chris giving me a kiss goodbye and whispering I love you before leaving.

I'm awoken around 2 hours later by my loud mouth of a best friend jumping onto our bed. I notice she has her eyes covered while she giggles.

"Are you decent? Do I need to keep my eyes covered for you to get clothes on?" I laugh while shaking my head.

"I have pajamas on you drama queen. Not like it's anything you haven't seen before!" She blushes as she thinks of our short lived romantic relationship.

Before I met Mike, Jules and I started dating. We had become really good friends, and there was a mutual attraction. We discovered a month into that we worked better as friends than lovers, even if the sex was amazing. So we called our romantic relationship off and continued to stay friends. I was a nervous wreck back then thinking I was going to lose my best friend, but thankfully it just made us better friends.

"Ha ha. What time are we going to your parents house?" She asked quickly changing the subject.

"I told them we'd be there by 10, I wasn't sure how we were going to be feeling this morning." She chuckles.

"Smart. Okay, so that gives us another hour before we have to be there." I nod as I get up from bed and start heading to my bathroom.

"Yeah, I'm sure Eli is counting down the seconds! He was so excited when I told him you were coming." She smiles a huge grin.

"It's been too long since I've seen him! I miss him so much! I brought him some gifts too."

I chuckle shaking my head. "You spoil him more than I do."

She throws her head back laughing not really disagreeing with me. She gets up from my bed and leaves the room, I assume to get ready. I do the same as I go into my bathroom, and start the process of getting ready for my day. I choose a white with black polka dot strapless one piece bathing suit for today. I throw my cut off jean shorts, and a white tank top.

I make my way to the kitchen and start making some eggs, bacon and toast for us. Just then Jules comes into the kitchen, in an almost identical outfit as mine with the exception that her tank top is gray. We laugh at our outfits commenting about how great minds think alike, before we sit down to eat. After we're done eating we go to my car and make our way to my parents.

After our short drive we arrive at my parents house. Eli runs out of the house at lightning speed crashing his body into Jules' almost making them both fall.

Her loud cackle could probably be heard from a mile away. "Eli! I've missed you so much! I'm so happy to see you!"

"I'm so happy to see you auntie Jules! I've missed you a lot!" The megawatt smile on his face confirming his excitement.

He grabs Jules' hand and starts to lead her towards the house while talking her ear off about everything that she's missed.

"Morning to you too bud! Geeze you would think I didn't give birth to you..." I huff dramatically making Eli giggle.

He runs over and gives me a hug. "Morning mom. Sorry, I'm just excited to see auntie Jules."

"I know bud, I was just teasing you." I ruffle his hair and give him a little push to return to Jules.
