Ch. 11 The Two sides of Heart

"Agnett?" Raven turned when she called her, surprised to see her.

She was standing by the door when Tomy recognised the change in air. He smelt her and dashed to her direction, making Raven chase him back thinking he will run away.

But he stopped at Agnett's feet and jumped on her making her fall back on her butts. "Ow! Tomy! This is not how you greet people! It hurts!" Agnett yelped laughing at him who just wiggled his tail and licked her face for the 20th time.

He sat upon her and rubbed himself over her, whining his ass off. "Yeah yeah! I am here now let me get up you dumass." She rubbed him playfully causing him to go more crazy and he started to howl. She laughed at his overacting and Raven stood near them, watching in amazement.

"Need help with something?" Raven asked bending down near her and Agnett nodded in between Tomy's affection show. Raven helped her to stand up and gave her the stick.

Again, they were close...Holding her by the waist and she clinged to her shoulder. Agnett averted her gaze somewhere else, making Raven smile in herself.

"Here. Sit down first. You okay?" She settled her on a chair and Tomy instantly sat on her lap. She nodded to her. "My god Tomy, I didn't teleported to other realm that you acting so frantically." She giggled snuggling into his furs and waggled his butts playfully.

"Where are your besties?! Jake, pea, Fred and Kiyo?!" Agnett said the names in continuation and searched them around the room. Tomy just wiggled and whined like an inpatient kid.

Agnett wasn't aware that someone was watching her with too much admiration in her eyes. She just couldn't take them off. Everything was just slow and magical for her when she watched Agnett.

"Do I have something on my face?" Agnett asked after Tomy calmly slept in her lap and noticed her stare. Raven shook her head from the daydream and smiled, scratching her nape.

"No... it's nothing. You look good in casual clothing, otherwise you look like a kitten. So how come you're here?"
Raven asked leaning on the chair in a very unladylike position. Agnett indeed observe her every movement but her virgin eyes couldn't take a shit for god's sake.

"Well, thankyou so much and I am not a kitten. Second, I work here as assistant veterinary. It's my part time job." Agnett retorted caressing the fur ball in her lap. Raven made an 'Oh' face and nodded her head. "Understood."

"But I am not stuck in flames again, then why are you here?" Agnett teased her raising an eyebrow. Raven's heart skipped a beat.

This woman...

"Oh so you trust me enough to rescue you anytime you get stuck somewhere?" Raven asked, a smirk playing on her lips and pulled her chair close to hers, by her leg with a thud. Tomy's head snapped up because of the friction. They were just, a foot apart from each other.

Agnett watched her in confusion.

"What? I couldn't hear you properly. You were far." Raven shrugged making Agnett roll her eyes. "Of course not! I don't trust you this much. This happens only with superheroes." She replied in disagreement.

"Okay so who am I? Not a superhero who saves people from fire?" Raven asked pointing at herself. "Yes you are but you can't be there everytime for someone." Agnett said shrugging.

"Okay. So who saved you the times you pulled stunts in the hospital, your home and here, at the shelter?" Raven asked leaning close to her making her blush.

"I wasn't pulling stunts. Those were accidents." She defended frowning.

"Okay let's take you weren't, but who saved you?" She asked again, watching her closely.
