There was dead silence except the sound of the shower. Raven was breathing hard in distress and Agnett was still too stunned to move or talk.
They both were sitting on the bathroom floor unable to speak or put the situation and the water drenched both of them.
"R-Raven...What happened to you...?" Agnett tried to touch her scar but Raven flinched and moved away.
"Don't touch me. Get out." She mumbled sternly and hid her face in the shadows. She tried to stand up by herself, getting nothing but to fail every time.
"Raven, please tell me what happened to you.." Agnett pleaded, horrified at the site and moved closer to the girl. The scar was so deep that it was looking raw. Her flesh seemed like it was burned up bitterly and took months to recover. The skin turned blackish purple with a thin layer of new membrane.
Before she could touch her again Raven pushed her away harshly. "I told you to not touch me! Get out!!" She screamed, making her flinch. Agnett stopped her hand in mid air, looking at Raven with pure worry.
She kept wiping the water off her face as her dripping clothes shrink to her skin. She was feeling cold not because of the icy water but because she saw something that she wasn't meant to and it was painful. Watching Raven suffer squeezed her chest but she didn't want her near her so she didn't force her to talk about it.
Raven, on the other hand, was having a tough time opening up to Agnett about something over her past. She never meant to shout at her but she was scared. Scared of showing her pain. Scared of her pitiful reaction.
"Raven...you know that I will never leave you alone and if we're giving each other the significant place in our lives, we both deserve to know about the good and bad things about us. If you don't wanna tell, don't. I won't force you." Agnett stood up hugging herself with tears mixing with the water.
Raven stared at the drenched dressings of her finger and toes. She was tearing up silently and Agnett knew that very well. "It's nothing more than an accident during the duty."
Agnett wanted to engulf her in a tight hug and tell her that she doesn't have to lie about anything. "Okay. I believe you." She said turning the shower to warm and walked up to her.
Raven tried to push her away but she didn't budge. "I told you to get out!"
"I am just helping to take your clothes off and I'll leave you alone. I won't even look at you." Agnett moved her face to the side and took off her bra not wanting to embarrass Raven in front of her.
Raven watched her with red eyes not caring if she was half naked in front of her. Agnett gently took her wet dressing off and threw it in the dustbin. She avoided her eyes in every possible way and Raven was at the verge of a breakdown.
Taking soap in her hand she massaged it over her hands, neck and belly avoiding her chest for her discomfort. Raven watched her face which was still on the other side as she put shampoo in her hairs.
She dragged her under the shower and washed her off in her boxers. "You're all by yourself." Finished bathing her, she flicked more water off her face and walked out of the bathroom, leaving wet foot trails on the floor.
Raven stood there feeling guilty for screaming at her and slipped down on the floor for some more time, rebuking herself. She didn't want to face Agnett after knowing that she had seen something she's most insecure about. Something others and she had always blamed herself for and something she would never want to share with anyone.
After draining her anxiety and warm tears in the water, she turned it off and quivered out of the bathroom. She glanced around her room but Agnett was nowhere to be seen.
