The pungent smell of chemicals mixed in the air as nurses took the patients from one room to another. In the atmosphere of stress and anxiety, everyone sat there with a heavy heart, waiting for Eugene.

Sabestian held Neena by his side and Kayden sat on the chair, his fingers knitted. Raven leaned against the window frame and watched the birds with a poker face. They were waiting in Paul's office because they needed privacy to talk over the touchy topic.

The door opened as the ex-military man entered inside with a little frown on his face. Raven's head snapped in his direction and she dashed to hug him. Even though she acted tough as gravel all the time, she still needed someone to lean on at times. He rubbed her back in reassurance as everyone stood up feeling impatient and overwhelmed.

"What's the matter?" He asked Raven who pulled away to grab the file and handed it to him. His eyes stopped at Sabestian and Neena for a brief moment.

"Are you both Agnett's parents?" He asked, feeling the familiarity and Sebastian nodded his head. Silence settled again as the last words dissolved in the air.

"Open it, dad."

Eugene was really confused as to why everyone was here. He read the file and his eyes came out of his sockets. He looked up to everyone and then glanced back in the file as if not believing the words written inside.

"You're Sabestian and Neena! And she's the same Agnett I donated the bone marrow years back!" Holding the paper in front, he asked them and Neena nodded.

"Yes, you're right." Sebastian took a couple of steps towards him before giving him a brotherly love. Eugene felt overwhelmed and hugged him back, tapping his back like old pals.

"So I was thinking quite right for the whole time." Eugene stared at Raven who was the most clueless among all.

"You left without a goodbye and never contacted us again. You even changed your number." Neena hugged him too and wiped her tears.

"I'm sorry. That time, me and Raven, we both were going through a lot and we had to take sudden decisions. Not just the contact number, I had to change a lot of things." He sat down on a chair as everyone waited patiently for things to get over now.

"Dad, why did you never tell me about this?" Raven asked, frustrated.

Eugene didn't answer and thought about how to put the words in position. "I'm sorry sweetie but I'll explain it to you later. Trust me." He answered and before Raven could protest the door opened.

"The reports are out and there's nothing to worry about." Paul came in holding the paper and handed a piece of paper to the nurse.

"What happened to her?" Neena asked with a red nose.

"Her blood pressure was extremely low and the bleeding was way heavier than average. Because of the side effects, the pain was excruciatingly intense. That's why her body got so tired she fainted. Also, she has a mild fever because of the discomfort but that'll be all good in one or two days. Make sure she eats well and takes rest because her body needs to recover from the blood loss. We can't risk it. You all have to be really careful about her health." Paul explained everything sincerely as Raven felt responsible for her condition.

"Can we see her?" Kayden asked, looking really worn out.

"Only one can stay with her. She's still unconscious." He replied and left, giving a half smile.

"I'm going." Kayden dashed out of the room but Eugene stopped him.

"Kayden wait, let Raven go. I have a thing or two to discuss with you people." He asked politely and Kayden nodded. Raven didn't wait any second and headed to see her little woman.
