"You should see where you walking." Kayden pulled Agnett aside and looked at Margret like she had robbed his bank. Agnett was surprised to see her as well as disappointed to encounter her unbearable face.
"I'm sorry. I couldn't see it was you." Margret genuinely apologized to them as Kayden stood with his arms crossed over his chest. Agnett nodded her head.
Don't kick her, don't kick her...
"It's alright. How come you're here?" Agnett tried her best to not choke her with her bare hands, knowing how bitchy she was to Raven and how much she had hurt her in the past.
"Just for a walk but when I got here they told me it's closed because there's an event gonna be here tonight." Margret replied with her perfectly sculpted smile and rosy cheeks.
Agnett had her eyes narrowed for the whole time, listening to her words carefully. Kayden on the other hand wasn't getting any good vibes from her so he was already ready to attack if she did something.
"What about you?" She asked, sliding up her bag's strip over the shoulder and fixing her lavender shrug.
"We help with the event's preparation every year so we were here to drop some things."
"Oh and who's this young man?" She asked, pointing at Kayden who raised his eyebrow at her and tilted his bushy head a bit.
Agnett had a nervous as well as annoying expression on her face, she made eye contact with her best friend then looked at Margret who was waiting for her reply.
Agnett wasn't in the mood to deal with any useless obstacles, so she took a deep breath. "This is Kayden, my best friend. Kayden, this is Raven's-"
"Ex-girlfriend." Margret completed her, shocking Kayden. He stared at Agnett who barely nodded her head against her will, that only her best friend could notice. This time he narrowed his eyes at her and his expression suddenly hardened. He neither answered nor gave any reaction.
"Anyways guys, I'll be off to my work now. It was nice meeting you both. Bye." Margret had a simple and casual smile before walking down the exit. Both the kids watched her back vanishing away.
Kayden silently seeked his hand around Agnett and ushered her to go. She had a light frown on her face as they walked by the pavement. Kayden was watching her the whole time, waiting for the right time to talk about it.
He stopped in the middle but Agnett kept walking until she was tucked back by his arm latched to hers. She slid back in his arms in surprise.
"What happened?" She asked, frowning but more active than before.
Kayden didn't say anything but pulled her to his chest and hugged her closely. Agnett couldn't understand his sudden gesture but appreciated his company like always. She held the fabric of his clothes in her fist and hugged him back.
"Do you wanna talk about anything?" He put his chin over her head and swayed her gently. She shook her head and hugged him tighter.
"It's just, I'm scared if she'll do something to fit in back between me and Raven." Agnett replied honestly and Kayden listened to her patiently.
"I don't wanna suffer like before." She hid her face in his chest and mumbled slowly. He rubbed her head and shook his own.
"Nothing like that is gonna happen, okay. Think good things Agnett. I know you both have a bond that won't be broken by a third person getting in your way. I believe in both if you Caz I have seen it. I've felt the love between you two." Kayden said truthfully after pulling himself back to look at her face.
