"What?"
"Yes. I'm coming with you."
"Absolutely not! You're staying here!" Raven took the bag and put it back inside. Agnett followed her.
"Why not? Please Ray, let me."
"Kitten, I can't. That'll be the most dangerous place I could ever let you go." Raven locked their eyes and cupped her cheeks.
"But we'll have each other. Please, I request you. Take me with you." Agnett pleaded, clutching her hands.
Raven kissed her lips for a brief moment. "I can't. Try to understand." She pulled away and headed to the door. Their parents watched them by the exit.
"Raven please. Let me be with you."
"I said I can't. You're not going to that hellhole with me, understand? If I'll have to keep you away from there for the rest of my life, I'll do it."
"I want to be with you at the time you need me. Please..."
Raven remained rigid on her decision and gave her silent treatment. Agnett's face saddened even more. She grabbed her arm. "Are you really gonna do this to me?"
"If I have to, I'll." She replied kissing her knuckles but Agnett pulled it away.
"Fine! If this is what you want." Agnett snapped with fierce eyes, almost touching their lips and ran upstairs. Shutting her eyes in frustration, Raven rubbed her temples and chased after her.
"Kitten?" She called out for her.
"Piss off!" She shouted.
"Baby listen to me-
"I said piss off! Leave!"
Raven heard the cracking in her voice and she understood she was crying.
"Please for-
"Leave me alone. That's it!"
Raven felt even more awful now and it was driving her nuts. She kicked the floor and stomped down towards the car. The parents watched them with concern.
"She'll be fine. Take care of her." Sabestian gave Eugene a brotherly hug before he went to his car. Raven turned her head towards the window and frowned at the stars in pure frustration.
Eugene chose to not talk to her at the moment so he nodded at Neena and Sabestian before driving off.
For the whole ride Raven couldn't stop thinking about her little woman for even a second. She felt bad leaving her behind mad and upset. She just couldn't let her face the demons she herself wasn't capable of fighting.
She knew that she was taking a huge risk that could fall her apart but if not now, then never. It was only for her grandparents. She couldn't even be at her grandma's funeral just because of that woman, but there's no way she was going to miss her grandpa's last goodbye.

"Tea?"Raven looked up to Anne holding the mug for her. She gave a small smile.
"Thanks."
She sat beside her as everyone was gathered in the living room. Eugene and Scott sat across from them, Will and Greta sat opposite to them. The tension was thick in the air as an eerie silence settled between them.
"I can't believe it's really happening." Scott rubbed his eyes remorsefully.
Eugene and Raven decided to stay at his brother's house for the night. It was already late and going to his own home didn't seem to be a good idea at this point when he had his daughter with him. Let alone if that place should be called home anymore.
