The wedding had gone by faster than you'd thought it would. Honestly, you couldn't remember half of it with your nerves going wild with every step you took into that chapel. All you could remember was standing in front of Dean, looking up at him and reciting the words John had taught you and exchanging rings. It almost seemed like an out-of-body experience where you couldn't get a hang of anything yet saw things pass you by like fast-forwarding through a reel.
You were only brought to your senses when Dean kissed you and maybe he had noticed how lost you seemed too. He put his hand on your waist when he pulled you in for the kiss after your vows and bit on your lower lip gently to help you gain some ground. It was like you'd been watching a movie on mute and you'd just unmuted it. People were clapping when he kissed you and pulled you closer by your waist, not letting go for a whole minute.
"Let 'im breathe, ya horny idjit!" Bobby shouted then and everyone laughed. Dean chuckled into the kiss and pulled back, though his hand on your waist remained.
"Bobby, you old boner kill," Dean shouted back and finally let go of you. He held your hand and you walked out with him. There was a small buffet in the chapel's backyard that looked like it was set up only at the last moment. Dean told you that it was set up by a couple of family friends. You stood at one spot for about thirty minutes as people kept coming to you and introduce themselves. You knew a lot of them, mostly by faces, but they talked to you as if you were a complete stranger. After a while, you just let Dean introduce you and do most of the talking while you looked around and smiled.
"You hungry?" Dean asked as he saw you eyeing the buffet. You were honestly surprised Dean hadn't rushed straight for it himself but you figured he must've had something to eat on the way home. The breakfast he had brought had been left on the motel table as John had rushed both of you to the chapel and it was safe to say that you were utterly famished by this point.
"Yeah," You replied and walked with him over to the table. He set up a plate for you and nudged you over to a table. Dean followed soon after with his plate. Thankfully, people left you alone to eat as they talked to each other. "You know what?" You spoke as you looked at him. Dean looked at you with his mouth full, stuffed like a chipmunk and somehow he continued shoving food in his mouth as you two talked. You were genuinely worried that he wasn't even chewing at this point.
You smiled and shook your head, "Nothing," You said and ate your food, feeling better by the second as more and more food got into your stomach. Just as you were about to finish your plate and Dean was on his second, he nudged you lightly under the table. You looked at him before looking down and saw that he was handing you a flask.
"John said not to," You told him.
He chuckled, "Half of these people are about to pass out, you think anyone would notice?" You grinned and shrugged, taking the flask from him and pouring its content into your glass. "Woah, slow down there, tiger. Save some for me." He said, laughing as he took the flask from you. "I'll ask Ellen for a refill later," He winked at you and put the flask back in the pocket of his suit.
"She seemed cool," You said and Dean hummed in agreement through a mouthful. "Did you and Jo ever hook up or something?" You said and he almost choked. You immediately handed him a glass of water as he coughed and spat the contents of his mouth on an empty plate on the table.
"What?" He said and you figured the answer was no.
You simply shrugged, "She had that look that you did and you abandoned her to marry me. I almost thought she'd knee me for a second," You said and Dean just shook his head and chuckled.
"Nawh, she's like a sister to me. She just kind of has resting bitch face." He said. You had just about finished your food when somebody brought up the first dance. Dean had already said it once before that if he were made to dance, he'd sooner sell his soul to the devil than agree to it. But everyone was pretty drunk, and your secret shots had started to take their effect so before you knew it, somebody was playing music from their car's music system.
"Come on, Y/N. I can't," Dean said, trying to get away but you pulled him by his hands, laughing. He awkwardly put his hands on your waist as you dragged him along.
"You don't trust me, do you?" You asked with a coy smile, raising a brow at him.
Dean just huffed and rolled his eyes but you could see a smile tug at his lips. "Fine," He grumbled. He was the one in lead but you were basically pulling and pushing him around the floor to the beat of the music. In all honesty, you had never really danced before and you were positively sure that you must look like a couple of gauche baboons who've absolutely lost it. What made it funnier was how Dean trusted you and actually thought that you two were dancing but nonetheless, you had fun. Wasn't that what it was all about anyway?
"You want to get out of here?" Dean whispered in your ear, his voice rough.
"We can?"
Dean smiled, "Dad got us a hotel a few miles down the road. It's pretty cool," He said and winked. "And now that we're married and all," He said with a cocky grin.
"Come now, Mr Winchester," You said but couldn't help but blush. "Alright. Sweep me off my feet then."
"Careful what you wish for, Mr Winchester," He replied as he got his hands under your hips and picked you up. You gasped but held on to him, your vision a little blurry and your head spinning. "Don't throw up on me now," He said, laughing, as he carried you towards the front of the church. It was almost infectious and neither of you could stop laughing then. Some people cheered and you saw John clap on Dean's back as you two left but most people didn't care as a lot of them had started dancing after Dean and you. When he put you down, he pulled you in for a rough kiss, his touch getting a bit more desperate but pulled back soon after and got in the car. You sat in the driver's seat and were only thankful thank Dean hadn't drank as much as you as he drove.
