Elena combed her hair quickly, and tied it in a messy ponytail. She washed her face, and then headed to the kitchen, where an aroma of baked goodies attacked her.
"How's everything going dad?" She asked.
"Wonderful!" He exclaimed. His overall demeanor was very similiar to anoverly-optimistic cartoon character. He had jet black and thick hair like Elena, and brown eyes.
He was in his fourties, but Despite his age, and his familiarity with sugary items, he was doing well.
He did not have any particular illness, and his pompous manner was more than enough to keep him mentally healthy."Do you need any help?" She asked him.
"Of coarse not! I have been doing this job-"
"-for twenty years of your life, and are now so perfect at it that any aid from an inexperienced only leaves you unsatisfied." She said in a bored way. She grinned as he gaped at her. He then smiled.
"Took the words right out of my mouth."
Elena chuckled and returned to her room.
Soleil and Felicia were coming at her house, so she wanted to make sure they had plenty to do. She looked through their computer for children movies to watch together.
At 2 PM, the bell rang. Her mother, a pretty woman with blonde hair, yellow eyes and freckles, attended to it.
She met Felicia and her mother at the door. Felicia's mother looked much like her, although she wasn't as slender as Felicia."I wanted to ask," her mother said anxiously, "If Roman could stay here too. I have to go get some groceries so I couldn't leave him all alone at home."
"Of coarse. He can play with Nigel." Elena's mother said stoically. She did not usually express much emotion in her expressions or speech, which gave people a cold and rude impression. It seemed however, that the lady was too busy to notice. She gave her a quick (but not impolite) 'thank you' and left.
"How old are you Roman?" Elena's mother said to the small boy politely.
"Ten right now...Eleven on the 30th." he said in a small voice. Elena was a bit surprised; he looked nine or eight by appearance. He looked like Felicia; dark blue almond eyes, and brown hair.
"Really? Well that's lovely. Nigel is a year younger than you, but I'm sure you will two will get along. Come along now." She said and lead the boy to Nigel's room.
"Help your friend get comfortable, Elena." She said to her before leaving.
"Hey..." Elena awkwardly said.
"Uh...yeah..." Felicia replied.
There was a silence, but then Felicia chuckled.
"What?" Elena asked.
"Nothing. I just imagined how Sol would react to us right now."
Elena almost panicked at the thought, and then giggled at herself.
"She would haunt us to the day we die...and probably afterwards too."
They went to Elena's room, where Felicia immediately snuggled in her cozy bed.
After some time, Soleil arrived too. Together, they ate snacks, played board games, ate more snacks, and watched movies together.
Fionna, Elena's six year old sister, sneaked into their room to watch them. She looked like a child version of her mother.
"What're you doing?" Elena suspiciously asked her.
Fionna grinned menacingly.
"Nooooothing." She said and left.
"She's the weirdest." Elena told them, "She's often doing weird experiments all alone in her room...mum tried to find out what they actually are, but she's good at hiding things."
"What kind of experiments are they?" Felicia asked, very interested.
"All I know is that one of them required my wand, Nigel's gaming console and dad's croissants." She told them, "She didn't get anything but the croissants though. We know better than to let her snoop around now."
They raised their eyebrows, clearly astounded.
"Maybe she has wizard magic?" Soleil suggested."We wondered that, but Her fairy magic is much stronger than me, so she must be purely fairy."
When they were leaving in the afternoon, Felicia's brother, Roman, came to their room to tell Felicia that their mom had arrived. However, as soon as he saw Soleil, he seemed to have lost his ability to speak. She was fawning over his small appearance and squeaky voice. Elena watched them both intently.
"What's your name?" She sweetly asked him.
His wide, blue eyes twinkled in admiration. Being shorter, he looked up at her. He did not stutter or mumble, but said as confidently as he could, "Roman Bolt."
She awed at his cuteness. "And how old are you?"
"I'll be eleven this month."
Her eyebrows shot up in shock. She looked up at Felicia and asked, "He's just a year younger than us?"
Felicia nodded. "And he'll be going to hogwarts with us this year."
"Oh...well...I hope we meet there then." She said to the boy with a bright smile. She then ruffled his silky locks, which shone golden-ish in the light.
His cheeks tinted with red and he gave her a stiff nod. He lowered his head and ran out of the room as fast as she could.
"He's cute." She said, laughing as she turned back to see him leave.
Felicia and Elena grinned ear to ear."I think he likes you Sol." Felicia said with a smug look.
