*Elios' perspective*

"He's here." He heard Simon say.

He and Melinda were waiting for him in the common room.

"You idiot! Why did you admit to her!" Simon bagan scolding him.

"What did she say?" Melinda worriedly asked.

"Detention and no hogsmeade, for a year."

They sighed in relief.

"And a quidditch ban." He added. His voice was hollow, but not because of the punishments.

"What?!" They both shrieked.

"What did they give her?" Simon demanded.

"Detention for three days."

He groaned.

"What?! Just three days? For slapping me?!" Melinda indignantly said.

"Why did she slap you?" Elios confronted her. He narrowed his eyes.

"Does it matter?! That mudblood slapped me-"

"Why?" He ordered.

"Oh, it was nothing. I was just scaring her brother." She said with annoyance.

"Did you try to pull his hair?"

She looked at him carefully.

"Yes. Why are you asking this?"

"Yeah, why are you?" Simon added.

Elios couldn't believe it. He got himself banned from the things he loved, to avenge her, and she did not care enough to tell him the whole story.

"You never mentioned that."

"Well," she said as if it was obvious, "I never thought you were going to burn her paintings."

"You came crying to me and said she'd slapped you in the face! That's all you said! That's why I took revenge!"

She blushed.

"I didn't know you'd go that far."

"Well I did!" He yelled.

"I'm touched." She said quietly.

Elios didn't know how to respond. He forgot all about his moral crisis.
Simon impatiently looked between them.

"You guys are unbelievable." He said, rolling his eyes.

*next day*

"YOU DID WHAT?" Sullivan yelled, bolting up from his seat.

"Oh come on it's not-"

"That girl wouldn't hurt an ant if she could help it!" He continued to yell, "AND YOU DECIDED TO BURN HER PAINTINGS?!"

He stared at Sullivan's face incredulously.

"Why are you arguing with me?!"

Sullivan opened his mouth, wanting to say more, but then stopped. He rubbed his temples and sighed. He then looked at Elios with his face between his palms, thinking.

"You are truly an idiot." He finally said with a tone of tiredness, "helpless. If I didn't know you so well, I would've called you an arrogant toerag."

"Look, I know what I did wasn't very nice, but I didn't know the whole story, okay?"

Sullivan continued to stare at him. Elios knew that another insult was on it's way.
