"Uh?"

"I need to talk to you."

Elena followed him out of the great hall, wondering why he needed to talk to her. Did he find out that she soaked Nott in the mud? Did he see her levitate it?!

They stopped outside of the corridor where, Elena realised, Nott had stood when the incident occured.
He looked sideways, making sure no one could hear him.

"Elena...Do you have a crush on Elios, or something?" He asked urgingly.

"What?" She blurted. This was not what she expected.

"Do you have-"

"I heard what you said." She snapped, "why would I have a crush on Selwyn?!"

"...I've been noticing you follow Elios around a few times..." he awkwardly said.

"I don't- it's not like that!" She fumbled out of embarrassment, "I just- noticed that he looks kind of ill, so I was just...concerned." she said in her most convincing tone, but she wasn't sure she did a good job.

"You're concerned?" He said, hardly hiding his disbelief. She decided to get defensive about it.

"I'm not spiteful, Macmillan. If someone's ill, then they're ill. He looks like he could faint any second." She said, narrowing her eyes at him, "Maybe if you took some care of your friend instead of searching for his admirers, you'd notice."

He flushed at her accusatory tone. Elena did not express her relief that she managed to move the conversation away from herself.

"He doesn't want me anywhere near him." He said in an almost angry voice, "if he likes things the way they are then who am I to intefere in his matters?!"

"He's vulnerable now. Don't you think he needs you?" She said in a softer voice.

"He didn't think of that before, did he?" He grumbled, looking sideway. His arms were crossed.

"I shunned away my ego to help him, and I'm not even close to him...and don't tell me you don't miss him either."

He paused, still looking sideways.

"It hurts more when you're close." He finally said.

"That's true..." she muttered.
"But why did you ask me if I liked him? It doesn't explain your concern."

"I just...thought it'd be good if someone was looking out for him...Simon's completely distanced himself from him."

"What?"

*the next day*

They were in walking through hogsmeade. Elena was holding Soleil from her shirt to make sure she didn't run off.

"This is why we can't have nice things..." Elena grumpily said. Soleil was high on sugar after eating all of her honeyduke sweets (for which Elena paid), at the spot, and was now incapable of human behavior.

"This is why you should never bring Sol close to sugar." Felicia corrected her.

"WHERE'S YAXLEY!" She said, trying to run in the opposite direction as them. If Elena did not have such a strong grip, she would've already left.

"Why are you looking for him?" Felicia tiredly asked.

"I WANT TO-"

What exactly she wanted, they never knew. They looked around to see why she suddenly stopped talking.
She was looking at the Three Broomsticks, a shocked look on her face.
When Elena followed her gaze, she realised that Roman was sitting on a table, boredly playing with his glass of water, while a girl opposite to him kept talking nonstop.
