Previously from Chapter 16:
In one of Victor's secret bases, Victor was screaming on top of his lungs as he shouted at his phone.
"What do you mean?! That you broke your ribs because you tried to believe that you can fly?! Are you some kind of chicken nincompoop?"
"Yes?"
The caller said it with no remorse and regret done on themselves. And they are adding another headache to Victor's stressful blood pressure. Apparently, the caller was the usual person that Victor answered. Izuku Midoriya. Despite Izuku having school time, does not mean that he will likely use every chance to call Victor.
"Tsk, little punk. Anyways, it is why are you calling me?" If so... Victor would simply block Izuku but somehow, Izuku would wiggle his way back in. That is Izuku's personality and ideal when he believes that a hero should help. Even stick his head into something that he shouldn't do.
"No, that's just part of the good news." The good news is that Victor doubts about it a lot. "I have managed to connect to another world."
Paused. What did Izuku say? Connected to another is something that is impossible. Probably since it is Izuku who could break so many laws physically in so many ways.
"Hah... little punk. You know to no end that you love making more problems for me."
"Hehehehehe Ehe-"
"Don't you dare Ehe on me!!!"
Victor could hear him giggling on the other side. His anger was not subsiding as he listened to Izuku's words.
"There is also quirk erasing drugs in the Yakuza captain of the Shie Hassaikai's secret compound. And if you are up for the job. I will lend you Leon to accompany you on this mission. This mission will be tricky with a high-level experienced mafia with quirks. So you are up for the task?"
Victor smiled bitterly at the offered mission. It was an attempting mission to have the benefits of the two drugs that they developed in that secret compound. But Victor would be in debt to Izuku.
"...." Difficult to decide but Victor managed to make a decision. "I'll think about it later..."
"I understand... Anything about the criminal's rate of activity?" Victor thought about that for some time. Only lower rank thugs on the streets. It was rare for the higher ones to be this quiet.
"No... It was the usual smuggling. Other than that, the smarter ones are planning something. You already have information on one of them. We'll call it off for today."
"I see, Goodbye."
Beep*
He turned off the call as he gathered the files. The files would be sealed somewhere hidden in another place. Delivered to Leon and Izuku soon after. Although, he patiently pondered about something.
It was after Izuku discovered Victor's identity that he found him in his job location. Izuku gives information after exposing him. With the offer of gaining more weapon access and receiving a unique ring from him.
The unique ring had a sapphire gem in the center with silver wings. As he put it on, he felt something stirred inside him.
And the result is chaos. He kept breaking everything so easily. Even his training equipment fell apart despite being just recently used. While he was distracted by the shattering items. One of the items was on a shelf that suddenly weaken and that it slipped off and-
Bang*
Hitted Victor who fell unconscious soon right as he blacked out.

Upon waking, the first thing that he noticed was fire.
Blue fire to be exact.
He quickly realizes what was going on. The flames didn't do anything as he stood up. His surroundings didn't burn as he could smell no smoke around him. It felt like he was on high drugs or something.
As he noticed that the blue flames are rather stuck close to him. More like the blue flames resemble more like the rippling of water than the transparency of actual flames.
Ignoring the bleeding pain dripping from his forehead. He can endure pain for a little longer.
"This Flame is like Izuku's phoenix flames..." Then, it would explain how he received that power at such a late age. He let Victor know his secret. It wasn't actually a quirk but rather something more complex. And keeping it a secret is rather easier to be done.
To be fair, Izuku had roped Victor in his secret that he can't be left alone. Despite Victor's efforts to stay away. Izuku managed to snare him in his trap. Victor may not be the brightest in some tactics like Izuku but he is strong in his fighting abilities with his quirks or not.
"To discover another possibility is frightening..." Who wouldn't? Imagine that a monster from another could invade this world or something much sinister that the world would perish within seconds? Who knows?
After all, the possibilities are endless.
Ever since that event had passed, Victor turns in the files in the end. It is better to have it gone than to make his headache worse. Victor could chew more than he swallows to admit bitterly that Izuku is influential and powerful with merely his existence. And his presence makes it so harder to ignore or decline his invitation.
Sun flames... A star that draws light... Make sense for Izuku MIdoriya to draw anyone in, even for Victor, himself. He was convinced that he should stay near Izuku but his mind refused to stay near and leave the district. But choosing the latter opinion, he stayed. And sometimes, he regrets it despite it being worth it in the end.

Thinking back as Victor thought about it. He views Izuku as a protagonist where the people go around him as planets and him being the sun. A protagonist that existed to change the story is frightening when it comes to reality.
Much to Victor's dilemma, he admits it as a part of reality in his belief. However, it doesn't mean that he could pull some strings. If it was ironic or not.
Victor will glee in joy after a specific event as the weeks pass. With a battered Izuku and clean Leon on his shoulder, Victor couldn't be satisfied to get back from the little stunt that Izuku tricks him into.

Time trickled forward as Victor moved on.

Originally, after a couple of days, Izuku and Victor decided to go out in disguise during the night. They planned to prepare for a raid on the Shie Hassaikai's secret compound and their hidden base at the same time. They will pull it off at the precise and accurate timing to raid the two places so the Yazkuza wouldn't have time to react fast enough. With weapons and equipment gathered. They were set to proceed with the plan.
They would be able to throw the ratchet and create chaos on that night.
However, because of Izuku the troublemaker's magnet. Trouble soon follows them as they just made a turn to the alleyway to see a man barely within range. As they managed to scout the figure of the man. They noticed the man was cowering down in a balled position with his arms hugging his legs.
As they got closer, they could hear the man sobbing and screaming his head off, "I will split...!!! (yeah!!!) If I don't cover it up... Or...OR ELSE!!! (you won't"
Izuku walks closer to the man while Victor shakes his head. It was going to be a long night as Victor saw another person walking in his sight.
A smell of smoke lingers.
