'The among us corporation?'

16 year old Toast listened as the heart monitor flatlined. He made no movement. A heart wrench bug sob came from his mother

"I'm sorry. But he's dead," the doctor said gently. His mother cried harder. Toast didn't show any emotion to it.

Of course that was months ago. The funeral had been since then. But it honestly didn't matter that much to Toast

He was never close to his father as a child, opting to be closer to his mother. Of course it was all different now

His mother was traveling the world, trying to forget her dead husband. In turn though, Toast was left alone.

Not that he cared to be honest. He preferred being alone most of the time. He lived in the penthouse of a apartment building. An inhabited room above their place, not able to be rented either.

He was looking through his fathers office, curious to see how this worked.

He was never allowed in when he was still alive, so now with nobody in the house was the perfect time.

He opened up the computer and found a whole world beyond it.

"The among us corporation?" He asked himself out loud. He tried to search everything up. A scream came from his mouth as a video feed popped up.

"Toast. If you're hearing this, that means I've died. It's up to you to launch this company. Inside you'll find what you need. Good luck kid," his father said. Toast stared with wide eyes, slightly shaking.

He took a breath to try and calm down. He clicked again but the video had been deleted. Yeah, he was gonna need some help to figure out what it was.

Toast grabbed his cyan phone and dialed a number, his best friends number.

"Hey Toast!" Came a males voice. Toast couldn't help but smile at Peters happiness

"Hey. Can you come over? I just found something," Toast said and Peter remained quiet for a moment

"Yeah. I guess so? What is it?" Peter asked, curiosity coming over his voice. Toast only sighed, not sure himself

"You'll see when you get here," he replied and hung up. He kept sitting in his fathers chair, hoping that Peter would be here quickly

Peter did in fact arrive in ten minutes flat. He threw open the door, without a key somehow, and ran into the office.

"The hell did you find Toast?" He asked with slight excitement. Toast signaled for his friend to come closer.

"Look. The among us corporation," he read. He started to search through the computer as Peter stood behind him.

The goal of the corporation was to grow it and go to space. To explore the galaxy.

"Planet Polus?" Peter asked and clicked on it. Toast shot him a small glare.

"Dude, would you wait so we can actually read," Toast said and Peter just smiled. He rested his hand on Toasts shoulder.

"Nope. Read," Peter said and Toast looked back at the computer. Both of them scanned the short document

Planet Polus is a dangerous planet.
Species on it unknown.
Goal: settle on the planet
Base is needed

"A base?" Peter asked. Toast only hummed and realized that was all that was in the file

"There's not a lot on here huh?" Peter asked and Toast shrugged. "You never knew about this?"

"No. You know I wasn't close to my dad. He was so closed off," Toast said. Peter nodded, knowing that already.

He grabbed the chair that Toast was sitting on and pulled it back a little. He clicked on a second tab.

"Water planet?" Peter mumbled and Toast scrolled a little through it. It was short just like the Polus document

The water planet is made up of complete water
Goal: get a ship there

"Hang on. We need bases. For everything," Toast said. He created a document on the side. "How many bases do we need?" He asked Peter.

"Well, an HQ, Polus, water," he said. Toast went silent. He started to do mental counts in his head

"We'd obviously want one in the air, so that we can monitor the earth and do earth missions. Then we need one to be able to travel and explore space. Plus dropship..." Toast mumbled, Peter gave him an amused smile

He started to type on the document. Peter watched and remained silent. He nuzzled his friends

"My father did this for his life? This is actually pretty cool," Toast said and clicked to keep looking through the computer.

"Are there any pictures?" Peter asked and Toast shook his head. He had no clue what any of the things looked like

"No. But there's coordinates for the planets. Wait, what's that?" Toast said and clicked something. "Holy shit," he whispered and his eyes widened.

"Your father owns the room above?" Peter asked in amazement. He hadn't been aware there was a top floor.

"He owned the hotel. I mean, now my mother does. But nobody used the room above," Toast said. Peter nodded and a smile crossed his face.

"Let's go. I wanna see it," Peter said and grabbed Toasts hand. Toast glared at him and sighed.

"I don't know Peter. It's always been off limits,"  Toast said, unsure of what would be found above.

"And you care?" Peter asked, a teasing smirk on his face. Toast shoved him playfully with a small glare

"I mean yeah. I follow rules unlike you Peter Park," he retorted. Peter hummed softly and brushed hair from Toasts eyes.

"But your mom isn't here. So shall we?" Peter asked and got close to Toasts face. Toast had always found it hard to say no to Peter

"Fine. Ok. Let's go," Toast said. Peter grabbed Toasts hand and they took off to the top floor of the apartment building.

Toast knew that he would need more than just him and Peter. He made a mental list of who he could ask to help him out. He reached for his phone.

"I'm gonna have the twins meet us up here," he told Peter, who nodded

So this is the start of my AU, good luck. And this isn't a very angsty book, maybe a few chapter but...
