The biggest issue with dating your partner is that if you break up...you're still partners.

Of course though, Edison and Leslie were on Polus, chasing down something. Wolfabelle had sent them an hour prior.

"Wait there," Edison said, pointing to a cave. Leslie saw it and they sprinted towards whatever the hell they were chasing.

They kicked up purple dust as they ran, trying to reach the cave. They ran inside to follow the thing but it had vanished. There was no other way out for it either.

"Fuck," Edison cursed before they turned to leave and track the thing. Edison took a step before the ground seemed to shake.

"Earthquake," Leslie whispered and Edison grabbed her hand. Leslies face flushed slightly, she knew she still liked Edison, but he could get so protective.

It stopped but purple rocks caved in. Leslie grabbed Edison and pulled him away from the falling rocks, right as one almost hit him

"Are we stuck?" Leslie asked after a minute. They started to try and push the rocks before pulling one. The rocks caved in a little more and they realized there wasn't a way out.

"I think so," Edison mumbled. It was cold in the cave and it wasn't very large either. Edison sat down and felt Leslie sit next to him, for warmth.

"And both our tablets are on the dropship," she said, he wrapped an arm around her waist gently pulling her to his side

"So we wait. They'll come," Edison said gently. Leslie leaned into him, shaking a little from the cold. He held onto her tightly, scared that she might move away. But Leslie had no plans to leave his side until they were out.

"I hope so. They can't just abandon us here right? They wouldn't,"

"This is Wolf and Ash we're talking about. I doubt it," he whispered. Leslie closed her eyes in an attempt to calm herself down.

She hated to think about how safe she still felt with him, despite the fact that she had broken up with him

Edison just wanted her to feel safe, so he sat like that. Hanging onto her waist, her leaning into his side.

But who knows how long it would take for the submerged crew to find them
