Edison was pissed to say the least. Leslie had made a stupid mistake on a mission and almost lost her life
"Why would you do that?!" Edison snapped, upset at her recklessness. Leslie was taken aback
"Excuse me? What the hell are you talking about?" She asked in pure shock, Edison had never gotten upset with her
"That was a reckless mistake! You almost died!" He snapped to her. They stood there in their room, staring and fighting
"But I didn't!" She shot back, upset that he didn't trust her during missions. He glared at her
"Leslie, if you died I don't know what I would do!" He said loudly, she flinched a little at the tone in his voice.
"Stop trying to protect me Edison! I'm not a child!" Leslie said, her voice raising in anger. Edison and her were in a standoff
"I know that! Clearly but I just want to keep you safe!" He yelled. Leslie got even more upset, anger flooding her body
"Stop trying to keep me safe! I don't need you watching me 24/7!" She screamed as her eyes glazed over with tears.
She hated the fact that Edison was treating her like a baby. He had never done this when they were on earth
"Then stop acting like it!" He snapped. She froze and looked at him. He could see something in her eyes that had never been there before
"E-Edison. I think we need to break up..." she whispered. He looked at her with wide eyes, panic and fear flooding his body
"What? Why?" He asked, hoping she was just trying to make him mad. Her eyes held only one emotion. One thing.
"Because I need you to realize I don't need you to watch over me," she said as she turned and left the room.
Edison watched the love of his life walk through the door, and hated that he couldn't do anything about it
