Aipha was excited for this mission. He was super close to everyone on his team. They'd been together for a year just about

A mission to catch a rouge team. A rouge crew so to speak.

The ship shook and Aipha felt any joy in him leave. They were going down.

"Engine failure!" He heard. He went to go help but a hand stopped him. He looked to the leader of his crew.

"Come with me," she said. Aipha followed, unsure of what was happening. She showed him a pod. A sharp prick in his neck and he felt dizzy.

She grabbed him and gently placed him into the pod. She closed it off and ejected it. Nobody was gonna survive the crash. But Aipha hopefully would

Tina was working in the medbay when a sensor went off. She took a look and saw it was a ship that crashed.

"Toast. We've got a crashed ship. Nearby on earth," she said into her com.

"You and the trio go. Make sure you find any survivors," he said. Tina prepared and they headed to the site crash

Once there it was a search and rescue. They found 9 bodies, all of which were dead.

"Oh Jesus," came Sykunnos voice. Corpse looked over

"What is it Sykunno?" He asked. Despite having known them for a long time, his deep voice still sent shivers down Tinas spine

"There's a pod over here," Valkyrae said in amazement. Tina made her way over and watched as the boys got it open

Inside there was a young male. Blood dripped from a deep cut on his forehead but he was breathing.

Tina managed to get him out and into the grassy floor of the earth. She scanned him with her portable scanner she kept with her.

"Aipha. He's 17," she said. They all glanced at each other sadly, he was alive but this would break his heart.

Corpse picked up the young boy bridal style and they started back to Mira.

Once there they laid him in the medbay where Tina gave him stitches. She gently brushed the hair out of his face.

"Poor kid. The trios gone to get the ship cleared and bury the dead. How is he?" Toast asked. Tina turned to face him

"He'll probably be upset. But I pulled up some files, and look. He's an orphan. Toast, we can't send him home or to a different ship. I think he should stay here," Tina said. Toast smiled at her

"Do whatever you think is best. I trust your judgment Tina," Toast said and walked away.

A small groan came from the bed and Tina looked over.

Aipha slowly opened his eyes and looked around, confusion on his face

"What happened?" He asked, his mind fuzzy. Tina sat down next to the boy and sighed

"Aipha. There was an accident with the ship. It went down. You were the only survivor," she whispered. Aipha froze

"No. No. Please tell me you're lying? Please tell me that they're about to walk through that medbay door," Aipha begged her, tears pricking in his eyes. He shrugged to sit up and let Tina help him

"Aipha, I'm so sorry," she said and he started to cry. Tina hugged him and felt his face bury into her neck. "I know. It's gonna be ok though. I promise," she whispered to make him feel better

Aipha hates the fact that he felt safe in Tinas arms. Especially since he barely knew her. But she was already like a mother, despite just meeting him

"How did I survive?" He asked and felt her rub his back.

"They put you into the only escape pod that was working it looks like. You crashed after them and only needed stitches in your forehead," she said.

"They're actually dead," he said and knew it was true. Tina tightened her grip on the boy.

"You can stay on Mira if you want. We have a large crew but-"

"I don't want a partner. I don't want to get close to anyone. I'm scared," he admitted. Tina smiled softly and pushed the boy back gently. She made him meet her eyes.

"I know. I'll talk to Toast and Peter to see what I can do. But nothing is gonna happen like that again. I promise you Aipha," she said. He nodded and she made him lay back down

"Can I at least go somewhere?" He asked, wanting to leave. Tina looked at him

"Not just yet. Rest for a few hours while I have them get a room set up for you," she said and left. Aipha was bored already but felt safe there

Shut up. I totally did not forget to publish it this morning. Not a single word about my memory
