Junhoe took a deep shaky breath, while holding a piece of paper, while looking at the small convenience store.

He was afraid to see you. To meet you again after he stopped talking to you and left you for different friends.

Junhoe took a deep breath and opened the door.

As he opened the door, the bell hung above the door rang.

"Hello, welcome to-" you turned away from restocking a shelf and stopped and saw him, "o-oh hey Junhoe.... it's been a while, how are you?" You gave him a friendly smile.

Junhoe noticed the change in your attitude.

"Uh I'm doing g-good," he cleared his throat. "When is your break starting?"

You put the noodles on the shelf, "it finished three hours ago... we can talk after my shift... it ends in fifteen minutes..."

"Ok," Junhoe nodded, "I'll wait."

"Alright," you said softly.

You finished your shift and saw Junhoe waiting on his phone.

"I finished..." you walked up to him.

"You have time to talk?" he stands up and puts his phone away.

"Yeah," you put your hands in the pockets of your oversized hoodie, "I have a lot if time lately."

"Do you want to get something to eat, or go on a walk?" Junhoe asks awkwardly. It had been so long since he had talked to you, so he didn't know what you liked or your preferences were now.

"We can do both," you looked away from his eyes.

You two were eating some skewers while walking in the park.

"So uh... how are you?" Junhoe says breaking the silence.

"The same," you said quickly. "Nothing much changed after school ended."

"Ah... I see..." Junhoe looked at you.

"What about you?" you said as you tossed your finished skewer in the trash, "how's you life now that we've both finished schools years ago?"

"It's been alright," he said while he watched the wind blow in the trees. "I stopped talking to some of my friends after I found out they were toxic."

"Ah... those friends..." you stopped walking, "I always hated them..."

"Y/N..." Junhoe says, saying your name for the first time in a few years. You looked at him. "I'm sorry not being a good friend, and not being there for you. I'm sorry for leaving you behind for bad people. If you're willing, can you give me a second chance?"

Both of your eyes were watering.

"I've waited so long to hear that..." you looked at the sky, "but now that I hear it, I still feel alone and empty. It still hurts... you just left me without saying anything. No matter how many times I try to reach out to you and want to talk to you, I was just nothing. I always hated losing my friends, the people I care about. But I was always losing them... I realized I was always alone. Even though it hurt, it was ok to be alone, but not to the point where it began to hurt. I waited so long, I tried saving so many friendships, but all for nothing. And now that we actually have a chance to fix our friendship, I'm afraid of being left again and getting hurt. And I don't want to go through all that pain again."

Junhoe nervously grabbed your hands, making you look at him, "Y/N, you don't ever have to worry about me hurting you again. It was my fault. And I'm sorry for never seeing you getting hurt by it. Please give me a second chance for us to build our friendship again. I promise to there for you from now on."

You were sobbing. Junhoe hugged you, patting your head and running his fingers in your hair. You held on tightly to him, crying into his shirt. You never felt that comfort in so long.

"Please don't leave me," you whispered.

"Don't worry," he whispered back, swaying you, "I won't leave you alone again. I will always be here for you."

This is actually one of my fears, losing friends (which I have) and getting hurt by them. And being alone as well.
