I let the soccer ball bounce on my knees and toes.
"Be careful Y/N," one of my friends Elena says. "Don't kick to hard."
"How much do you wanna bet she's going to hit someone in the head again?" Yuna laughs.
"Whatever," I laugh. I kick the ball a bit too hard and goes half way across the field. "Oof..."
Minjae POV
I was with Huijun, we were throwing a football to each other, but all of a sudden, a ball hit my head.
"Sh*t! I'm sorry!" a girl runs to me. "Are you ok? It didn't hit you to hard did it?" She helps me up, and bows down multiple times.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine," I rub my head.
She sighs in relief. "That's good to hear." She grabs the ball and starts to run, but then she kicks the ball. "Heads up Yuna!"
A girl who I assume is Yuna screams and ducks down before the ball could hit her.
"Y/N!" she yells. "Are you trying to kill two people in one day?!"
Y/N runs to the girls. "Sorry!"
I thought that would be the last time I would see her, but nope. I started to see her around the school more often.
Your POV
I was at the park with a few neighborhood friends.
"Pass, pass!" Jongho yells. "I'm open!" I kick the ball to him and he kicks it to the net.
"Score!" I high five him. "Yes! We win!"
"Aish, no fair," Jeongin whines. "You guys are the good players."
"Hey are you saying that I'm not good?" Junhyuk pouts.
"Ehh..." Jeongin looks away. "Moving on!"
"Noona do you think I'm bad at playing soccer?" Junhyuk asks.
"Uhh... I think you're a decent player," I smile. "Right Jongho?"
"Hey, don't drag me into this," he glares at me. "Now, that we're done, can we get some drinks? I need to cool off."
"Lets get ice cream instead," I suggest. "I'll buy."
"Yay! Free ice cream!" Jeongin and Junhyuk cheer, running to the convenience store.
"Sometimes I forget that Jeongin is older than me," I chuckle as I walk with Jongho.
"Is that why you don't call him oppa?" he asks.
I choke on my spit. "No, it's just that I'm not comfortable calling him that. Besides, I don't see him as one."
We sat at a table in front of the convenience store and ate ice cream.
"You guys are improving," Jongho says.
"Thanks!" we all say.
Junhyuk was eating a popsicle and Jeongin looks at him.
"Why are you sucking on it like that?" he asks.
I choke on my ice cream and cough. "Don't say that."
Jeongin and Junhyuk look at me with innocent eyes. "What do you mean?" I look at Jongho.
"I don't think you wanna know," he clears his throat.
"Ooh, noona and hyung are dirty minded," Junhyuk giggles.
"Shush you," I pat his head. I look at my phone, "shoot, I have to go." I get up. "Next week?"
"I'm going to win this time," Jeongin sticks his tongue at me.
I laugh, "see you guys." I grab my soccer ball and run home.
I run inside my house.
"You're late," my mom crosses her arms. "Hurry up and get dressed."
I run to my room and take a quick shower and throw on a decent dress for dinner. I run out the door and hop into the car.
"We're already running late," my dad sighs. We dive to a fancy restaurant and get out the car. My dad hands the keys to the young boy, and we walk in, and go to our registered table.
"Sorry we're late," my mother apologizes to her friend. "My daughter got distracted."
"It's ok," she smiles, "I don't mind waiting." My mom and her friend haven't seen each other in years, and have been getting together. This was going to be our first family dinner together.
"Where's your son?" my dad asks.
"Our son is in the restroom," Mr. Song answers.
A few minutes later, and a boy walks over to our table. "Mom, dad? What's going on?"
"Minjae!" Mrs. Song smiles. "About time! Meet Mr. and Mrs. Y/L/N. And this is their daughter Y/N!"
"Nice to see you again," I smile.
"Oh, you guys met?" she smiles, a bit shocked.
"Yeah, we have a few classes together," I nervously chuckle. "The other day, my ball hit his head."
"Oh my," both moms say.
"Your daughter still got power," Mrs. Song laughs.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Minjae asks. Embarrassed, I blush.
"She used to be in the soccer team," my mom smiles, "but she quit because she wanted to do it for fun."
"Also, there was this one time when Y/N and her friends were playing soccer," my dad laughs, "she broke a neighbor's window."
"How old was she?" Minjae tilts his head.
"Can we please not talk about this?" I cover my face. I hear the adults laugh at me. "I was twelve."
Minjae softly chuckles. "With a soccer ball?"
"No," i say lowly. "It was with a bouncy ball..." The rest of the group burst into laughter, a I join them, since it was kinda funny, even though I was embarrassed.
After that dinner, Minjae slowly became friends. He also came along to play soccer with my guy friends. But slowly, I realized that I grew feelings for him.
One day, he and I walked together. I had cotton candy and he was eating ice cream.
"You have some sticking on your lips..." he says leaning closer to me.
Minjae POV
"You have some cotton candy sticking on your lips," I lean closer to her. Unconsciously, I kiss her lips. Y/N pulls away almost imminently. "I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking." But then she leans back in and kisses my lips.
She pulls away blushing, "i-it's ok. It just that you surprised me."
I intertwined my hand with hers. "So can we date?"
She smiles. "I would like that."
