Horoki was heading to the hospital when he received a text from Aria, "please get home soon. Cozmo is trying to bore me with more of his stories." She texted with a frowny emoji at the end. He texted back, "I'll be home shortly, just gotta check on Liam." Horoki said, he checked into the hospital and went to Liam's room. Liam was eating some of the hospital food when he saw Horoki walk in. "Hey man." Horoki said as he walked in. "How're you doing?" Horoki added. "I'm ok, this hospital food is kinda ass though...the pudding is the only good thing." Liam said as he smacked his lips, throwing the pudding cup away. "How's the leg?" Horoki asked as he sat down next to him, inspecting the bandaged leg. "It's alright, it's getting better, doctor said I should be out in a few days. Lincoln's back teaching though, he said he's got some assignments. He even said that we might go on a field trip soon." Liam said with some excitement in his voice. "That's good." Horoki said, "if you need anything just text me ok? Gonna go train with Hawks." Horoki said as he got up and hauled his backpack over his shoulder. "Have fun man." Liam said as he laid back to rest.

At Endeavor's Agency

Hawks was laying on the couch in a very relaxed manner, twiddling around what appears to be a joint in his hand. "What are you doing here Hawks?" Endeavor asked. "Just waiting for my little protégé." He said with a snide smile. "Mr. Arashi?" Endeavor asked. "Bingo. We are gonna do some patrols around the city and work on his winged form." Hawks said, they then heard the elevator ding and Horoki came out with his scarf wrapped around his neck. "Hi Endeavor, hey Hawks." Horoki said with a smile. "Hello Mr. Arashi." Endeavor said, "well Hot Head, we are gonna go, thanks for letting me stay." Hawks said as the two walked away. "I didn't...you just made yourself at h-" it was already too late, Hawks and Horoki already left before Endeavor could finish his sentence.

Horoki and Hawks were on top of a building, looking down at the civilians below. "So any updates with the villains?" Hawks asked. "Nope, nothing to report. Just same old stuff." Horoki said, twirling his knives in between his fingers. "So, you don't wanna explain about you beating up this doctor?" Hawks asked him, quickly getting it the point. Horoki got quiet and coughed, "just getting them to trust me, that's all." Horoki said, dismissing the comment. "You sure it's for them to trust you?" Hawks asked Horoki, pushing his question out. "What's this all about Hawks?" Horoki asked his mentor, turning on his heel, the city to his back. "Lincoln's investigating this case. He was talking to the doctor and found out that he was abusing patients. Now he's sticking his nose in and trying to deduce which patient had the guts to go back and get some revenge." Hawks said, putting his hands in the pockets of his jacket. "He won't get very far." Horoki said with a confident grin. Hawks stayed quiet. "I'm gonna try and keep an eye on him. Just stay on your toes and try to stay off his radar." Hawks replied. "Pshhh you worry too much. I got this in the bag." Horoki said as he twirled his knife. "So, wanna race? Unless you're more...chicken than Hawk." Horoki said with a toothy grin. "Oh, you did not just-"

"Baaaawk, what's that? Sounds like...bawwwwwkk!!!" Horoki said, mimicking a chicken's gesture. Hawks stretched his wings and twisted his body. "Ok no, that's it. We are gonna race, and I'm gonna make you eat my feathers." Hawks said, the two then got on the edge. "On your mark, get set-"

"Go!" Horoki said, interrupting Hawks and getting a headstart, using his smoke wings. "Oh you little..." Hawks growled and flew behind him.

At the Doctor's House

The doctor was cleaning up his room. After the incident with the villains, he was told by police to stay at home. They were beginning to investigate the doctor and his patients that he supposedly abused. There was a knock on his door, he got up to open the door and saw Lincoln. "Ah! Mr. Lincoln." He said, "yeah, hi." Lincoln said as he entered the house. "How're you doing doc?" Lincoln asked, looking around the house. "I'm doing as well as I can be, the miscreants did some damage but I'm fine." The doctor said as he sat down and poured some coffee for the hero. "So, tell me. Why did you do it?" Lincoln asked him, cutting to the chase. The doctor looked at him, "Excuse me?" He said, looking almost insulted. "Mr Lincoln, if I could intru-"

"My friends call me Lincoln. You call me Diamondback." Lincoln said in a low voice. "Now answer my question." He continued. The doctor couldn't look at Lincoln. He looked away and Lincoln whistled, "I'm sorry are my aviators distracting you? Here, let me remove them." Lincoln said, taking the glasses off and setting them aside. The doctor glanced at his eyes and was immediately stricken with fear as he saw the reptile eyes stare into his soul. "I can wait all day doc." Lincoln said in a low, almost growling voice. "I was approached by a man, he said he was studying quirks and their evolutions. You know the theory of offsprings and quirks yes?" He asked, gulping a bit as Lincoln studied his face. "Yeah, parent has a quirk and the kid inherits the quirk but it's stronger than their parents. What about it?" Lincoln responded. "We were on the verge of discovering exactly how we evolve with these quirks." He said. Lincoln chuckled and licked one of his fangs, "so you wanna just lie to my face then? That's what you're gonna do?" Lincoln said, looking into the doctor's eyes. He began sweating bullets, "I'm sorry?" He asked. "You gonna just sit there, lie to my face like the police didn't pull your phone records?" Lincoln said, tilting his head. The doctor stood there, his body standing ever so still. Lincoln got up and examined the room and saw a picture of the doctor and his family, he picked the frame up and brushed his thumb on the family. "This your wife and kid?" Lincoln asked. "What are you gonna do with them?" The doctor asked defensively. "Oh I'm not gonna do anything. The villains though? They might turn them into experiments. You've seen the Nomu right?" Lincoln asked. The doctor gulped and looked at his hands. "I'm trying to prevent a fate worse than death. You are the key to helping the police, the heroes and I." Lincoln continued. "Please. Just tell me who the doctor is. Once I figure this out, I can try and tell the police to back off from the investigation." Lincoln said. The doctor, after hearing this news immediately leaned forward. "The doctor's name, is Garaki Kyūdai. That's what I was told." He said. Lincoln nodded, writing the name down. "So, you're really gonna give tell them to back off?" The doctor said with some excitement in his tone. "No. You're gonna get investigated and you'll get charged for the mistreatment of your patients." Lincoln said, the doctor got up, fuming at Lincoln's words. "You can't do this! I've cooperated with the police! You tell them I coerced!" He shouted. "Who said I was here on behalf of the police?" Lincoln asked, a smug smile plastered on his face. The doctor just stared at him in disbelief, he broke his mug and charged at Lincoln with the weapon, Lincoln swiftly grabbed his arm and twisted it, then proceeded to headbutt the doctor. He grunted in pain and fell back into his chair. "My nose! You broke my goddamn nose!!" He screamed. "You broke your oath." Lincoln said with a hiss. He got his aviators and placed them on his face and walked out.

At the Police Station

Lincoln walked in and asked to meet Detective Tsukauchi. After some time waiting, he came out and saw Lincoln waiting, "ah, Lincoln, how're you doing?" He asked with a smile. "Doing good." Lincoln got up and handed him a piece of paper with the doctor's name on it. "Some info. Figured you could use this." Lincoln said as he handed the piece of paper to the detective. "How did you-"

"My southern charm just doesn't work with women detective." He gave a toothy grin, interrupting the detective. The detective nodded and put it in his pocket. "How's your student?" He asked. "Liam is doing fine. He's gonna be out in a few days." Lincoln said as he rested his hands on his belt. "Judging by how you're still standing here, I'm gonna take a guess you want something else." The detective said. "Yeah, just uhh, keep in the loop with the patients...I wanna try and get to them before the League of Villains do. Give them a second chance, as it were." Lincoln said, reminiscing on Horoki's words that villains can be born out of not just pure evilness but being misunderstood. "I can't promise anything you know." Tsukauchi said. "I know, but just keep in mind in case you find one of them." Lincoln said, with that, he tipped his hat to the officer and walked out of the office.
