Beyond Ultra (a MHA story)

Chapter 7

It was Monday when the students got back to class. Liam and Horoki arrived to class with everyone surrounding Midorya, Iida and Todoroki. "What happened?" Liam asked. Tsu approached Liam. "Midorya, Todoroki and Iida fought the Hero Killer. Ribbit." She said. "That Stain guy I've heard so much about?" Liam said. "I think so, I got a video of his philosophy and ideas on my phone. Still weird how people can agree with his ideas." Horoki said. The two then approached the three that fought the murderer of countless heroes. "We heard what happened." Horoki said. "No. What you heard was that my father took him down. Not us." Todoroki said. "What? Why?" Liam asked. "We can't say. Just say that Endeavor took him down." Todoroki said. "Oh that's bull! If I took down someone as tough as that guy I want full credit!" Liam shouted. "There's a reason we can't, it involves the police and to be honest I really don't wanna get too into it." Iida said. "Yeah, lets just try and focus on class." Midorya said with a small smile.

The door opened and Lincoln walked in. "Good morning y'all. Hope your weekend was good." He said as he looked at the three students. "So today, we are gonna going over something you guys might enjoy. Hero names." Lincoln said. The class cheered, "finally!! Something fun!!!" Mineta said. "And to help me, is Midnight." Lincoln added. "It just got better!!!" Mineta shouted to himself. Midnight walked in and waved to everyone, "how is Class 1A doing?" She said in a soothing voice. A good amount of the boys just blushed and said "Good Midnight." She passes around some white boards and markers. "When you come up with a name, I want you to present it to the class." Midnight said smiling, she then stood next to the podium and looked at Lincoln with a small smile. Lincoln simply covered his eyes and waited for the first student.

Mina went up and presented hers, "alien queen!" She smiled. "Do you spit acid?! Try again!" Mina frowned. "I thought it was good." Lincoln said shrugging. "But do as midnight says." Lincoln said since Midnight was in charge of the names. Everyone began to share theirs and they were very good, done subtle, some were to commemorate another hero. Then there was Bakugo, "King Explosion Murder." He said. "Alright what in the hell is that kinda name? Sounds like some damn hot sauce!" Lincoln said, earning a small laugh from the class. "I agree with Lincoln, please try again." Midnight said, she then whispered, "is he always like this?" To Lincoln. "Bakugo? Yeah, sometimes I feel like when he was born he just bit the doctor that took him out." Lincoln whispered back, Midnight giggled at his comment to which Lincoln thought, "it wasn't that funny."

After the students discussed their hero names, Lincoln handed out some papers, "pro heroes liked your performances at the festival. They'll contact you about an internship. Fill out who you want and bring them to me. I'll ship them out." Lincoln said. Horoki and Liam only had one name on theirs. Horoki had Endeavor, the number 2 hero next to All Might. Liam had Snipes, the hero that recruited Lincoln to be a teacher. Liam was excited to have a pro teach him and smiled. Horoki on the other hand felt incredibly nervous.

Class ended and Horoki stopped to talk to Todoroki. "Hey, Todo. I know you probably don't want to talk to me after the festival. I get that, but I was wondering if maybe you can prepare me...to meet your dad?" Horoki asked. Todoroki tilted his head, "hm, it appears you'll be with me in terms of the internship." He said. "Wait, you got picked by your dad?" Horoki asked. "Of course. Who knows, when I take his spot you might be my sidekick." Todoroki said as he walked off with a smug smile on his face. "Like that's gonna happen Todo." Horoki said. "Well good luck and I'll see you tomorrow then." Todoroki said as he went to lunch.

Horoki sat next to Jiro, Jiro looked at Horoki who was shaking his leg a small bit. "Well, gotta say this is a first that I've seen you remotely nervous." She said smiling. "Not every day the number 2 hero asks for you." Horoki said. Jiro looked at him with wide eyes, "Endeavor asked for you?!" She asked. "Yeah, along with Todoroki, so me and him are gonna be getting to know each other." Horoki said. Jiro smiled and scooched closer to Horoki and held his hand. Horoki simply smiled and was then greeted by Mina, Kaminari and Kirishima. "Sooooo we heard that you two are together!" Mina said, fangirling. "Yeah! Tell us how it got started." Kirishima asked. "It just sorta happened, I mean, it had to. I'm too devilishly handsome to be ignored." Horoki said as he fixed his hair, Jiro just elbowed his ribs and he lost some air. Everyone simply laughed and the two simply held hands, they talked about their internships and how much they'll miss each other, even if it will only be for a week. This was the chance for them to prove that they can be heroes.

Somewhere in an abandoned building

The man with the blue hair stared at a picture of Midorya, just staring at it. "It seems as though the game just got a bit more difficult." He said. "What do you mean?" The sharply dressed mist asked. "Kurogiri, we have some new players to our little game." The man said. "Who are these new players Shigaraki?" Kurogiri asked. He then played the T.V and showed Liam, "the speed demon." Then Horoki, "the man with tricks." Finally Lincoln, "the sharpshooter." Shigaraki said. "I thought Midorya might be an issue, but with these three players it might harder to get through to All Might. They must be taken care of." He said as he scratched his neck. "Which is when you two come in." Shigaraki said as he looks at a man with bags and stitches on his face and a cute blonde girl with fangs. "How can they help?" Kurogiri asked. "Cause she knows one of the three players. Isn't that right, Toga?" He said with a creeping smile under his hand mask. "Yep! I'm sure he's gonna be very happy to see me." Toga said, licking her fangs with excitement.
