Liam woke up the next day, getting himself some cereal. Kirishima came down and sat with him, having a plate of eggs, bacon and sausage links. "How does it feel to be back in our class again?" Kirishima asked with a grin. "Feels good. Didn't beat Horoki but I'm gonna keep going until I can." Liam said with a smirk. "Good! Don't stop until you can beat him ten times in a row!!" Kirishima said grinning from ear to ear. "Also, you think you'll be down to spot me after school? Gonna try and pump some iron." Kirishima asked. "I think so? I'll see after class if anything comes up." Liam said. The two finished breakfast and went to class. Aizawa looked at the class and began to teach. Horoki was falling fast asleep and hid in his hoodie as Aizawa was teaching about Hero and Police work. "Young Horoki!" Aizawa shouted. Horoki bolted up, and grunted. "Yes?" He asked as he stretched. "Can you explain why heroes must turn in things they find to the police?" Aizawa asked, seeing if Horoki was paying attention in class. "To build a case against the suspect. If the hero withheld some incriminating evidence then it could lead to the suspect walking free." Horoki said with a bit of a smug smile. Aizawa nodded, "correct." He said, turning his back to the class and writing on the board.
Class ended and the class was dismissed but Aizawa told Horoki and Liam to stay behind. The two looked at each other, curious as to what was the reason they were held back. Aizawa closed the door and looked at the two, "as you know, Shigaraki's group is out there, possibly recruiting villains for their cause. We need to be on high alert." Aizawa said. "No disrespect Mr. Eraserhead, but what does this have to do with us?" Liam asked. "I want to test you two against Shinsou and Monoma." Aizawa said. "Huh? Why those two?" Liam asked. "Liam, it's clear he thinks I'm capable of taking two of the stronger students in U.A. You're just here to make it a two versus two." Horoki said with his trademark arrogant smirk. "Well, Lincoln suggested it. He thinks it would help since he believes that Shinsou and Horoki have similar fighting styles." Aizawa said. "Hah! I'm my own person! I'm no carbon copy." Horoki exclaimed.
"Oh look! It's the Class 1A rejects!!" An arrogant voice said. The two students looked and saw Monoma pressing his face against the glass. "Can I knock his teeth out?" Liam muttered. "Just make sure he doesn't touch you. If he gets your quirk then it'll be a nightmare to deal with." Horoki whispered back. "I can't wait to show Eraserhead how poor Class 1A's students are and how Class 1B is superior!!" He shouted. "Monoma." Aizawa firmly said. He then backed up and left with a smile on his face. "Come to this location and bring your best attempt." Aizawa said as he handed a piece of paper with an address written on it. Aizawa then dismissed them and the two went to lunch.
"So what's the game plan?" Liam asked. Horoki looked at Liam with a surprised expression on his face. "Whoa...did you actually ask for a plan?" Horoki asked with a sarcastic tone. "Such a comedian." Liam said as he rolled his eyes. "Well, I have some of Midoriya's notes on Monoma and Shinsou, although I don't think I've met Shinsou, I've just heard of him." Horoki said. "He was at the first school festival. Bakugo fought him and pretty much clubbed Shinsou." Liam said with a small laugh. "So I was pretty much getting ready when he showed up. Well, do you remember his quirk?" Horoki asked. "Mind control. I don't remember exactly how it went but he can control you with his mind." Liam said, trying to recollect the past to help Horoki. "Well, that's a strong quirk. Not strong as my smoke quirk but strong nonetheless." Horoki said, snidely flexing his strong quirk. "Monoma is simple. He touches you and he gets your quirk." Horoki said as he turned the page to see Monoma. "He's an arrogant shit head." Liam added. "Yeah but he can back it up, it's why he's cocky. If you can back up your talk then you can be as arrogant as you want. It's why I'm the best at this stuff." Horoki said as he smiled at Liam. "Do I gotta bring that ego down a notch?" Liam asked his friend. "No, either way you wouldn't be able to. You still can't beat me." Horoki said, saying the last part rather quietly. Liam sighs and then looks at Horoki. "I'll ask Midoriya for his journal to see if I can study for the fight." Liam said as he ate his sandwhich. Horoki studied up his enemies and was reading his notes on Monoma.
