Chapter 24

The class was downstairs eating breakfast and talking about their dreams. Some dreaming of random nonsense while others dreamed of goals and ambitions. Their conversation was cut short when they heard Horoki's screams fill the hallway as he ran downstairs and outside. Momo was close behind holding a broom. "Arashi!!! Get over here and face the consequences!!!" She shouted. Jiro was close behind trying to hold her friend back. "Well this got incredibly interesting." Tokoyami said. "What's going on?" Sero asked. "N-Nothing! Nothing is goi-" Jiro was quickly interrupted by Hagakure.

"I caught them together in bed." She said with a giggle. The class spat their food and drinks in absolute shock, while Kaminari got up and grabbed a belt. "Arashi!! You got some explaining to do!!" He said as he followed Momo outside. "Did that really happen!?!" Mineta asked. "Lucky sonuvagun!!" He shouted. Tsu quickly hit the back of his head. "Wow, I didn't think he would do it." Sato said. "Nah, there's no way. Jiro, what really happened?" Liam asked. Jiro sighed and looked out to see Horoki up a tree while Momo and Kaminari tried to get him down and threw some rocks at him, calling him a friend lewder and other not so friendly names. "W-Well, he had a nightmare and he couldn't s-sleep so I might've offered to sleep with him to calm h-him down." She said, stumbling at some words, realizing that it sounds worse out-loud. "So you did sleep with him?" Shoji asked. "No!! We just cuddled!! There was nothing else!" Jiro said as she blushed even more. "Ok that's much more believable." Liam said laughing. "You should probably help Horoki out now, those two are out for blood." He added. They suddenly heard Horoki shout "ow!!" As he was struck by a rock and fell to the ground, Momo and Kaminari beating him up and calling him names. Jiro then ran out and explained the situation of how she ended up in Horoki's bed. Kaminari then shouted, "you touch her in any way that's not loving and I will shock you so bad you will be brain dead!" He shouted. "Kinda like you?" Horoki said with a stifled laugh. Kaminari chucked a rock and hit Horoki square in the face, causing him to fall and hit the floor. Liam took a video and saved it to his phone and eventually went to help Horoki up.

The class eventually went to school while Horoki had a bandage on his forehead where Kaminari hit him. Lincoln walked in not wearing his mask since he was rather comfortable without it around the class. "Good morning everyone! I would ask how is everyone but judging by the video Liam sent, I can see Horoki had a rough morning." Lincoln chuckled. Horoki have Liam a death stare at Liam. "If it was me you would've done the same." Liam simply said. "So, I'm gonna give you a morning assignment to warm y'all up." Lincoln said. He handed out some assignments and called up Horoki. Who promptly walked outside with him. "How are you feeling?" Lincoln asked. "Why do people keep asking me if I'm ok like I went smoke through horrific trauma." Horoki asked nonchalantly. "Well, I was just asking. I don't know what you went through since you didn't want to share." Lincoln simply said. Horoki only told Jiro and that was it, no one else knew the hell he went through. Only that he was mind controlled. "Well I only asked cause I was thinking, in celebration of you coming back, to do a 2 versus 2 sparring competition." Lincoln said with a small smile. Horoki was interrupted by Midnight's voice. "Excuse me, shouldn't you students be in class?" She asked crossing her arms. "Ms Midnight, this is Mr Colt." He pointed time Lincoln who simply waved. She stood there and stared at Lincoln. "Ah...w-well you should get back to teaching." She said with a small blush. She then promptly walked away biting her finger. "Well that's not good." Lincoln said as he scratched the back of his head. "How come? Didn't you show the teachers your real face?" Horoki asked. "Not to Midnight." Lincoln said. "Ohhh, well, that's not my problem. Good luck." Horoki said as he pat his back and walked back in. Lincoln also got in and grabbed the papers. "Alright I was lying, these assignments aren't getting graded." Lincoln said as he tore each one up. "Oh thank the stars I didn't do it!" Kaminari said. "Ok, never mind I'm grading only Kaminari's." Lincoln said as he found Kaminari's. "No!!!! Please!!" He begged, the class laughed at his misfortune. He then chuckled and ripped it up, giving Kaminari a sigh of relief. "Today we're gonna do sparring matches. 2 versus 2 to be exact." Lincoln said. "Im gonna assign the teams so they will be randomized." He added. He then placed all the kid's name on a piece of paper and placed them in a bucket. He shook it and called out the kids along with their partner. Horoki was paired with Bakugo and Liam was paired with Midorya. "Well this is gonna be fun folks!! Let's head to the gym." Lincoln said, they followed him like ducklings with a mother duck. "Don't get it in my Horoki." Bakugo said harshly. "Oh come on you missed me." Horoki said with a smug smile. "Shut up idiot!!" Bakugo shouted. Horoki kept up the smug smile and they all eventually awaited for the next instructions. "Now you're gonna randomly pick your opponents. I've written the teams down and put them in this bucket." Lincoln said. "Why are you obsessed with that bucket?" Horoki said. "I'm not obsessed with it, I'm just using it for this exercise." Lincoln said with an annoyed frown. "I don't know, sounds like you're obsessed with it." Horoki said shrugging. "Ok, you get to pick first." Lincoln said as he held out the bucket. Horoki fished for a name and got one, he opened it and his eyes widened. Lincoln tilted his head, "go on, say the name." He said. "Jiro and Uraraka." Horoki said. "Oh now this is gonna be interesting." Lincoln said smugly. "This will be easy." Bakugo said smiling. Liam picked next, "Ojiro and Kirishima." He said. "Alright, good luck Liam and Midorya." Lincoln said. They continued to pick their opponents and Lincoln learned back in the wall and smiled, "Horoki and Bakugo vs Uraraka and Jiro! Place your bets gentleman." Lincoln said as if he's announcing a wrestling match. Most of the students admittedly placed their best guess on Bakugo and Horoki. The two entered the arena, "ok, the plan i-" Horoki was interrupted as Bakugo blasted towards them. "Die!!!" He shouted as he braced to hit Jiro. Jiro planted her hands into the ground and made the ground rise, causing a pillar from the ground to dig into Bakugo's gut. Bakugo coughed and fell down, Jiro then blasted her music near Bakugo, causing him to fly back at Horoki's direction. "See this is why running in doesn't work." Horoki said looking down at Bakugo, who was lying on the floor. "Shut up and help you bastard!!!" Bakugo shouted. Uraraka got close to Jiro and she made them both float. Horoki turned to smoke and climbed up to their height. Horoki then popped out of his smoky state and activated his clones, he then fell on them, causing all of them to fall. Jiro slammed her fists into the ground, causing a sound wave to erupt. Horoki's clones held their ears and went back to the original one. Horoki went down on one knee and felt his head got touched, he began to float and Uraraka gave her hardest punch. It wasn't the strongest punch but it still ended up causing Horoki some discomfort as he rolled in the air. "Bakugo get me down from here!" Horoki shouted. Bakugo scoffed, "help yourself!!" He said as he charged again. As if she was waiting for this exact moment in her hero career, she side stepped Bakugo and caused him to float. Bakugo began to float as well and Jiro used her sound wave attack to push him towards Horoki. Horoki tried to move away but their bodies collided and caused them to go out of bounds. "Release!" Uraraka said as she connected her fingers together. Horoki fell first and tried to get up until Bakugo fell on his back, a loud crack was heard and Horoki let out a small yelp. "My back..." he muttered. Bakugo bashed Horoki's head in, "dumbass!! You let your girlfriend win!!" He shouted. "First off! You didn't get me down!! I coulda carried us to victory!!" Horoki shouted back. "What an upset!! Uraraka and Jiro win!!" Lincoln shouted, the class congratulated Uraraka and Jiro on their hard earned victory. Bakugo and Horoki continued to bicker until Lincoln eventually made them sit out and hold hands in public. "You can come back when you both learned to behave." The two became flustered and held hands, causing other classes to laugh at him.

The next fight was Liam and Midorya versus Kirishima and Ojiro. Midorya and Liam discussed their plan of attack which was odd considering Liam usually runs in headfirst. "Ojiro's tail can help him jump pretty good heights and he's a martial artist. Kirishima is pretty much a tank. I think you should go for Ojiro. Your boxing fighting style could be good against him." Midorya whispered. "I'll use my full cowling against Kirishima." He added. "Sounds good!" Liam said with a smile. Lincoln then flagged his arm down. "Fight!!!" He shouted. Ojiro and Liam charged head on and clashed. Ojiro used his tail to swing at Liam's head but he swiftly dodged the attack and landed a 1-2 punch to Ojiro's chest. He backed up and swung his leg. Liam blocked and kicked Ojiro's right leg, causing him to kneel, Liam then used his other leg to hit him across the face. Ojiro flung back but stopped short of the line. Midorya threw punches at Kirishima, who hardened himself to block his attacks. Kirishima found an opening and punched Midorya's stomach, causing him to fly back. Liam noticed and quickly stopped what he was doing and ran to Midorya's aid. He grabbed Midorya's collar, stopping him from going out. "I got you!!" He said. Midorya coughed and looked at him. "Thanks!" He said. "No problem. We got a match to win!!" Liam said with a grin. Midorya then whispered, "when I say 'now', I want you jump." He said. Liam nodded and Midorya shouted. "Now!!!" Liam then jumped towards their enemies and saw Midorya slam his fist into the ground, causing Ojiro and Kirishima to fly up into the air. Liam then kicked them both out of the arena. The two hit the wall and fell down, groaning in defeat. Midorya and Liam high fived while their class cheered. The latter continues until Liam and Midorya were against Tokoyami and Iida. "Whats the plan this time?" Liam asked. "I'm not sure...I might have you go against Iida but I'm not sure about Tokoyami." Midorya muttered. "I'll take Iida. You shout if you need help, ok?" Liam asked. Midorya nodded, "sounds like a plan." He said. The two then braced until Lincoln's command. "Fight!! Lincoln shouted. Iida and Liam ran towards each other and collided fists, creating a shockwave. Tokoyami used his shadow to try and grab Liam, Liam dodger his shadow hands. "Midorya! Gonna need help here!!" Liam said as he ducked under Tokoyami's arm. Midorya ran towards Tokoyami but was cut off guard by Iida, who promptly grabbed his arm and slammed him over his shoulder. Midorya hit the ground and felt the air just leave his body and he gasped, Tokoyami grabbed Midorya and was getting ready to throw him out of bounds until Liam began to run around Tokoyami, creating a light with his electric discharge. His shadow grew weaker and Midorya saw a chance, giving a powered punch to knock Tokoyami out of the ring. He flew back and tried to get his shadow to catch him but he was too weak from Liam's light. While Iida was blinded by the light, Liam was in front of him, crouching. Iida looked down and was met with an uppercut from Liam, connecting with Iida's chin. He flew up from the sheer power of the punch, while he was falling down, Liam decided to finish with style by doing a roundhouse kick on his stomach, sending him into the wall. Iida was out cold and but Tokoyami was still in. "I'll beat you both myself!!" He then used his shadow as a sort of armor and got ready for the fight. He then fought Liam who was blocking his attacks, Liam was trying to hold off the best he could but he felt himself move closer and closer to the edge. Midorya came from behind and used his Full Cowling Kick and knocked Tokoyami on one knee. This opened up an attack for Liam who gave a powerful left hook, knocking the day lights out of Tokoyami. Liam wasn't finished, he continued to give a flurry of punches and powered up the final punch and knocked Tokoyami out of the ring. Midorya coughed, "think you might've gone just a bit overboard." Liam gave a small chuckle. "Yeah, I don't think he needed the extra 50 punches." Lincoln and the class clapped their hands as Lincoln announced their champions. Iida and Tokoyami were taken to Recovery Girl who scolded Liam and told him to hold back instead of giving out free punches. "I'm sorry Ms Recovery Girl, won't happen again." Liam said like a toddler. "At least I didn't have to heal Midorya here. When I saw him, I thought he was the one that needed healing." She said. Midorya simply blushed out of embarrassment and just covered his face.

The two then saw Bakugo and Horoki get ridiculed by the other classes. Midorya gritted his teeth, "I feel bad don't you?" He asked Liam, when he turned his head he saw Liam filming it and turned to him. "I'm sorry what did you say?" He asked.

The day was over and everyone went back to the house. Lincoln stayed back and graded their performances, "how are the students?" All-Might asked. "They're improving." He said. "And yours?" He asked. "They're growing." Lincoln said with a small smile. "You ever get worried that the students aren't prepared?" All-Might said, crossing his arms. "I think you're underestimating them. They faced off villains and took down Stain. That's a lot to say for some 'rookies'." Lincoln said. All-Might nodded, "thank you for reassuring me Colt." All-Might said. "No problem." Lincoln said as he was finishing his grades. "We do need to get you a hero name." All-Might said as he left. "I'll get one when I get my guns back." Lincoln said laughing. He finished grading the papers and eventually went home.
