Chapter 93

Horoki was drawing in his journal while Toga was messing with his hair, putting little bows in it. "Are you having a good time?" Horoki asked as he looked back. "Shush. Let me work." She said in a pouty voice. Aria came into the room and saw the two, "awww that's sweet. I like what you did with your hair Horoki." She said smiling. "Yeah didn't have much of a choice with the style." Horoki said. "He keeps moving." Toga said. Aria sat down next to Toga and braided Toga's hair, Awli then walked in to see the girls braid each other's hair. "I was gonna ask if you guys wanna help work out, but you guys seem occupied." She said, placing a hand on her hip. "Is important." Toga said adorably. Awli then went behind Aria and began to braid her hair. Shigaraki called them into the living room to announce something important. Shigaraki and the rest of the group looked at Horoki snd the girls who had their hairs braided. "I'm not going to ask." Shigaraki said. "So what's this big meeting about?" Spinner asked. "We are going to get Gigantomachia." Shigaraki asked. The crew was quiet. "I'll bite. Who is that?" Horoki asked. "My master's secret weapon." Shigaraki said. "I'm gonna take a guess and say it's a guy with a stupid strong quirk." Aria whispered. "Pfft, can't be stronger than me." Awli said as she flexed her bicep. "I will need all of you to be in the best shape for when Sunday arrives. That is when we will retrieve our secret weapon." Shigaraki said. The crew disbanded and Horoki was meeting with Spinner, "hey, think you can get me something? I have some new weapons I need for my villain costume but if I'm seen with these then people might put two and two together you know?" Horoki said. "Yeah I get it, what weapons are you looking for?" Spinner asked. "Some hook swords." Horoki said with a confident smile. "Huh. Hook swords, didn't know you knew how to use them." Spinner said looking impressed. "Yeah, I know how to use some weapons so I'm always keeping my opponents guessing." Horoki said, flaunting his knowledge. "Alright alright, I'll get it." Spinner said, getting up to go grab it. Horoki then took out some of cash and put it in his shirt pocket. "Buy yourself something nice while you're at it." Horoki said. "Don't be weird." Spinner said as he walked off. Aria then tapped Horoki's shoulder. "Hey, mind if I talk to you real quick?" She asked. "Sure." Horoki said as he walked with her to her room. "So I found out that the doctor that sent me to the psychic ward is in town visiting some family." Aria said with glee. "And I was wondering if you can help me...I don't know, pay a visit?" Aria asked. "How did you find out about this info?" Horoki asked. "Social Media." She said with a smile. "Well, it would be the first time I get to see your quirk in action, plus when I get my hook sword it would be some good practice to use them. Why not?" Horoki asked. "I'm gonna go workout. You guys wanna come? I could use a sparring partner." Awli asked Toga, Horoki, Twice and Aria. "We can help! No we can't!!" Twice shouted. "Sure! I wanna help you get strong!" Toga said excitedly. "I got some stuff to do Awli. Maybe some other time." Horoki said. "Same here, next time though for sure." Aria said. "Ok your loss guys." Awli said as the three went to workout. "So, about that 'visit?'" Aria asked. "I'm down to help. However I gotta wait till Spinner returns with my new weapons. Then I'll join you, if you want you can go ahead and start early and do some sorta reconnaissance." Horoki said. "Like a stakeout?" She asked. "Yeah, I guess that would be the best way to put it." Horoki said. She nodded with a smile and went to the doctor's house.

At a Cafe

She rested in a cafe where she could see him leave for work. Some time passed and Horoki came by, having a duffel bag with him. "Got my infiltrator outfit." Horoki said. "Wait you have an outfit for infiltration?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. "Fashion is an endgame for me. I like to have an outfit for every occasion." He said. He ordered some coffee and doughnuts for the two of them. "So what exactly about this doctor makes him such a target?" Horoki asked. "He made me..." she cleared her throat. "He made me go on my knees to give me the chance to try and work with other doctors." She said. "So he made you beg?" Horoki asked. She shook her head, "oh." Horoki said, realizing what she meant. The two stayed quiet and Horoki cleared his throat, "well, now I'm all for absolutely beating the ever living shit out of him." Horoki said, sipping his coffee. "I don't wanna kill him, remember that." Aria said. "See, that's worth killing. I knew someone, not on this earth anymore. He robbed, cheated, killed, did just about everything wrong in his life but he never took advantage of a woman. He said 'I'm evil, but not that evil.'" Horoki said. "What happened to him?" Aria asked. "He was killed..." Horoki trailed off, he didn't know if he wanted to rat out Dabi, creating more tension in the League and causing Aria to get into Dabi's crosshairs, or just throw the blame on Lincoln to further cement the idea of him killing and breaking the hero society even more. He shook his head, "my mentor Lincoln Colt killed him." Horoki said. "Your mentor? Jeez, some hero he is." Aria said. Horoki felt guilty but he knew what he had to do. The two then saw the doctor leave and Horoki got up and picked his duffel bag up. "I'm gonna try and bug his house. Just stay here." Horoki said, he then went into an alley and wore his infiltrator outfit and turned into some smoke, entering the house by going underneath the door. He unlocked the door and let her in, she looked around and felt the air get cold. "So what? We wait here till he comes?" Horoki asked. "That was my plan yeah" Aria said. "As much as I'm all for besting the crap out of someone. We gotta hit them where it hurts." Horoki said, taking out a USB. "Which is why I brought this." He looked around the house and found a laptop, opening it and finding it password protected. "Hmm wonder what juicy stuff is in here." He muttered to himself as he typed away, trying to get the password correct. "See if anything screams 'I'm his password' ok?" Horoki said. Aria looked around his bedroom and saw a picture of his family, she then saw a drawing of a doctor and found the words "daddy" next to the picture. She looked and saw the name "Jane" on the corner. "Hey! Try 'Jane'." Aria said. Horoki typed her name in the laptop unlocked. He smiled. "Jackpot." He began to search through the files and found medical reports of heroes and civilians. He continued to search through the files, finding Aria's report and clicked on it. The file had a written report and audio logs. Horoki made copies and saved them to the USB. As he continued his search, he found another file called "Psychosis Report" he then found Aria's report and read it over. "Damn, with a report like this she'll never get accepted back into society..." Horoki muttered. They heard the sound of a car engine out front, "shit! Hide!" Horoki said, going into the closet with Aria. The door opened and the doctor sighed with relief and set his bag down. He then went over to the fridge and took out a bottles of alcohol. "Right where I left you." He said as he laughed, taking some out drinking them, he then walked over to his laptop and noticed the USB. "I don't remember you." He said, he grabbed the USB and examined it, he was suddenly pushed by Horoki and he tried to scream but Horoki held his mouth. "Shhhhh don't want you screaming." He said as he placed his blades at his throat. "You remember Aria right?" Horoki asked. Aria walked towards the doctor with her knife. "Hello Doctor Brown." She said in a venomous tone. "Ms Aria." The doctor said. "I saw you on the news." He added. "Yeah, I happen to make quite an entrance." Horoki said with a grin. "What do you guys want?" The doctor asked. "Hmmm, well to be super honest. I kinda kick you around like a soccer ball." Horoki said as he looked at him. "Except, I know Aria wants her kicks in." Horoki said as he backed off and punched his stomach in. The doctor fell to the ground and coughed hard. Aria then cut her wrist and turned her blood into a whip, she then grabbed his neck with the blood whip and slammed him to the wall. "All I wanted to do was help people, you abused me, I will make you pay." She growled with tears. She continued to whip him until his clothes began to tear up, he screamed in pain, little did the two know that his screaming attracted some unwanted attention.

Lincoln was coming back from the hospital with Liam after visiting Endillion. "Still can't believe you passed Lincoln! Now you're working with the big dogs! Think you might work with Aizawa or Hawks?" Liam asked. "I'll still work at the school. Might help the law enforcement out when I can." Lincoln said. "How about we get something to eat? I'm sorta hungry." Liam said with a small chuckle. "We had cake at the hospital." Lincoln said. "Yeah but like a burger sounds good." Liam said with a sheepish smile. Lincoln thought about it, "well, there's a bacon king burger that was released. I'm down to try one." Lincoln said, finally giving in to Liam's request.

The two walked towards a restaurant and discussed what food they're gonna order until Lincoln shushed him. "I hear, some screaming." Lincoln muttered. "Could be a couple getting to know each other you know? You shouldn't eavesdrop." Liam said. "No no. This ain't some biblical kinda screaming. This is...this is screaming in pain." Lincoln said. Lincoln followed the noise with Liam following closely behind. They peered into a window and saw the vigilante and a red haired girl beating a man. Their eyes widened and Lincoln whispered, "call the police. We'll deal with them until they arrive." Lincoln said, taking out his revolver. They bursted through the door, the two looked at the heroes and got into a defensive stance. "Well, it looks like we got some company Aria." The vigilante said as he braced for a fight. "Beating up a man for no reason. That's very villainous of you." Liam said. "You have no idea what I've been through, if you knew, you would be beating him up yourself." Aria growled. "Don't waste your breath. These heroes have everything handed to them on a silver platter, they wouldn't understand our struggle." The vigilante scoffed. Liam growled, "oh you don't know half my story." Liam said in annoyance. "Yeah well the judge is gonna wanna hear your stories. Now if y'all wouldn't mind coming with us quietly." Lincoln said as he aimed his guns at them. Arian then looked next to Lincoln and saw a pool of blood. She moved her fingers a little to get the blood stirring and she moved her hand up, causing a blade to form and pierce Lincoln's side, he screamed in pain and the guns fired, the two dodged the bullets and Lincoln fell, holding his side. The vigilante threw a smoke bomb at the floor and the ran through the window, heading to an alley and climbing the ladder into the rooftops. Liam was hot on their heels, Horoki looked back and growled. "Go ahead! I'll catch up, gotta get rid of him first." Horoki said. Horoki brandished his hook swords. "You know, I thought you were pretty cool. Trying to be a middle man, but after hurting Endillion and beating that guy up? You're just like the dirt underneath my shoes." Liam scoffed. "Better put that money where your mouth is." Horoki said as he brushed the blades together, striking a menacing pose. The two stood in silence and Liam charged, he went for an overhead punch but Horoki dodged the attacked, slicing at Liam's leg. He shouted in pain and went for a kick but Horoki caught his leg using the hooked end, grabbing Liam's leg. Horoki then threw Liam to the ledge, Liam rolled on the ground and held his ground to prevent him from rolling over. "Shit...my leg." Liam said in a shaking voice, seeing the deep cuts. "You'll get yourself killed if you aren't careful." Horoki said as he walked away, sheathing his weapons. Liam got up with the last of his strength and tried to go for one more surprise attack. He screamed and went to tackle him, however, the vigilante jumped over Liam and dug the hooks into his shirt and slammed Liam into the ground, causing the ground the crack. Liam gasped in pain as he felt his shoulders take the hit to the ground, he wriggled in pain and groaned. "You're a real fool if you think you can fight me. You're nothing more than a dead hero." Horoki spitefully said. "You should retire while you can. It would be the smart thing to do in your situation." Horoki continued, running off to catch up with Aria.

Horoki eventually caught up to her and the two sighed with relief. "Nice surprise attack against Colt, he didn't see that coming." Horoki said, praising the blood bender. "I wasn't sure if he was gonna kill us so I had to act. Better him than us." She said. "You sure you weren't followed?" Aria asked Horoki. "Trust me. His side kick isn't gonna be walking for a bit." Horoki said, feeling a small bit of guilt for absolutely taking Liam out with such ferocity. Yet he justified it by telling himself, "no villain will take it easy on Liam. I'm just preparing him for the real world." He said to himself. The two entered the hideout and Horoki saw Spinner, "by the way, I love these things. So much damn utility." Horoki said. "Ehhh, you're good but I'm sure I can beat you." Spinner said with a laugh. "Oh? You...You think you can beat me?" Horoki said, placing his hand on his chest, looking offended. "Spinner, I will turn you to a goddamn memory." Horoki clapped back. "Pssshhhtttt ok ok, whatever." Spinner said as he went back to his reading. Horoki then went to his room to hang his swords, he then turned to see Aria at the doorway. "I didn't get the chance to thank you...for helping me." Aria said. "Don't worry. It was my pleasure getting some revenge on some abuser." Horoki said. "I'll do it all over again if I had the option to." Horoki said, Aria hugged him tightly and smiled. "It's good to have people I can trust for once." She whispered. Horoki held her with a smile, he felt the warm embrace and thought to himself. "This is what I'm fighting for."
