Class eventually ended and Liam gushed about how well he thought he impressed Aizawa. "I think you did ok, then again, you did lose to someone who didn't have a quirk." Jiro said. "Wow, it's like you're sucking off Horoki's ego! I liked you better before you met that loser!" Bakugo shouted. Horoki came up to Liam, "you did pretty well Liam. Your punches hurt like shit. You just gotta work on being faster." Horoki said. Liam smirked, "what if I was holding back?" Liam said. "Then Aizawa would think that you're pretty weak and that you didn't improve at all." Horoki said. Liam got quiet and looked down, "dammit." He muttered. Midorya was walking out of class with Iida and Uraraka. Horoki got up and caught up with him, leaving Jiro, Bakugo and Liam behind. "Hey Small Might!!" Horoki said as he caught with Midorya. "Hey Horoki." Midorya said smiling. "It's taking me a lot to say this. But, can you help me train? You're the only one I've seen that tries to use their quirk sparingly. Considering I don't have a quirk, I need some help." Horoki said. "Wow! You're asking me for help?!" Midorya said with starry eyes. "Keep it quiet. Just help me please?" Horoki asked. "Ok! Uraraka, Iida, can I talk to you guys later?!" Midorya asked. "Yeah! Don't worry, talk later!" Uraraka said, waving as she went away with Iida. "You know she likes you right?" Horoki said as the two walked out of school. "wh-what?! Uraraka?" He said, looking nervous. "Yeah, she really likes you. You can't tell?" Horoki said, raising an eyebrow. "N-No way! We're j-just friends!" He said. Horoki rolled his eyes, "wow, you're as dense as Liam." Horoki said.
The two then went to the training grounds. "What do you want me to teach you?" Midorya asked. "I guess...mobility? I'm pretty much just normal when it comes to mobility." Horoki said. "Well, I can try and race you? Maybe that'll do the trick?" Midorya said. "Yeah, but how bout we try a race that'll help the both of us." Horoki smirked. Horoki and Midorya went to the downtown area and climbed up a building using the ladder provided. Midorya gulped and he looked down, "this seems a b-bit too high." Horoki laughed, "this isn't bad at all." Horoki said. He then began to stretch and looked at Midorya, "so we gonna race or you gonna chicken out?" Horoki said. Midorya shook his head and got into a track runner's stance, Horoki cracked his head and did a few jumps, "say the word." Horoki said. "Now!!!" Midorya screamed, he activated his full cowling and ran. He leapt and vaulted through the roof with grace and speed. He looked back and saw Horoki actually keeping up, Midorya then tripped and looked down to see the ground getting closer. He closed his eyes and opened them to see he still had ways to go but it stopped. He then looked up and saw Horoki holding his leg, he groaned in pain and tried to haul him up. A loud pop was heard and Horoki screamed, he then grabbed Midorya's leg with his other arm, keeping Midorya from falling. "I got you Small Might!!" Horoki said. He then pulled the student over the ledge and groaned in pain. Midorya crawled over to Horoki. "Are you ok?!" He shouted. "I didn't lose my hearing you cry baby! Quit shouting in my ear!" Horoki said as he held the arm that popped out of place. Midorya then grabbed his arm, "ok, this is bad." He said. "Really? I thought a displaced arm would be amazing!" Horoki said, gritting his teeth. "I'm gonna take you to Recovery Girl." Midorya said, "I'm gonna need some help getting there." Horoki said, again, being too lazy to even get up. "Ok! I got you." Midorya said, Horoki got onto Midorya's back and latched on. Midorya was able to use his full cowling and come down from the building. He then went to the nurse's office, knocking on the door. Recovery Girl answered the door and frowned seeing Midorya and Horoki. "Why is it when someone gets injured it's you two?" Recovery Girl asked. She brought the two in and crossed her arms. "So who's hurt?" She asked. "Me." Horoki said, "arm is out of place." Horoki said. "Think you can use your quirk to help me out?" He asked. Recovery Girl looked at him and grabbed his arm, she then jerked his arm up and Horoki screamed in pain. "Ahh!!!!! Why?!?" Horoki screamed. "I heal broken bones, deep lacerations, any life threatening injury. A displaced arm is not worth using my quirk. You'll live." Recovery Girl said as she patted Horoki's shoulder. "What about you? Are you injured?" She asked. "No ma'am. Just Horoki was injured." She said. "Good. As for you." Recovery Girl said, pointing towards Horoki. "You can't be reckless. You don't have your quirk so you have zero excuse to be reckless." Recovery Girl said. "Ok ok." Horoki said, dismissing her advice. Midorya looks at Horoki, "I gotta get back to Uraraka and Iida. Think we can train again sometime?" Midorya asked. "Sure. Just don't hide your feelings for that girl ok? We're heroes. You'll never know when it's the last time you'll ever see her." Horoki said. Midorya took the advice and looked at him, smiling softly. "I'll figure it out Horoki. Thank you." Midorya said. Midorya opened the door when Horoki stopped him, "wait...about the child...?" Horoki said. "She's ok. Don't worry Horoki." Midorya said, smiling at the fact despite Horoki's rough exterior, Horoki was a big softie on the inside. Midorya then left the room, leaving Horoki and Recovery Girl. He then heard two voices in another room, he got up placed his ear on the door.
"Still going to the police?" The voice that sounded like Sara's voice said. "Of course. You know how I used to be a bounty hunter. They could use someone like me." A country voice said, clearly belonging to Lincoln. "That's not the point Lincoln. Going after this guy, what if this is what he wants?" Sara asked. "Sara, this isn't some mission of revenge. This is a dangerous man that needs to be handed over to the police." Lincoln said. "Lincoln...you care for those kids." Sara said. "They want you breathing, standing in that class, teaching them." She added. "Promise me that you'll help them with the investigation, but won't intervene when they go to arrest him." Sara said, her voice shaking. Lincoln sighed, "fine. I promise I won't interject with the police work, I'll help them provide info and overlook but I won't physically help." Lincoln said. Horoki heard Lincoln's boots approach the door and he went back to where he was sitting. He saw the door open, Lincoln saw Horoki, "oh boy...what happened now?" He asked. "Just rescued Midorya from falling to his death. Nothing fancy." Horoki said. "What're you doing here anyway? With her above anyone else?" Horoki asked. Lincoln sighed, "can't I chat with my roommate and see how she's doing?" Lincoln asked. "So what were you two discussing then?" Horoki asked. "School stuff, also the fact I'm helping the police deal with Sumbo." Lincoln said. Horoki was honestly blindsided that Lincoln was upfront about it. "Oh, really? Wow. How come?" Horoki asked. "I have the journal, I've dealt with Sumbo." Lincoln said. Horoki nodded, "you won't get involved right?" Horoki asked. "Besides leading them to clues that will lead to Sumbo's arrest. That's pretty much." Lincoln asked. Horoki nodded and got up, "alright, I gotta get home then." Horoki said. "Horoki." Lincoln said. Horoki looked at Lincoln, "yeah?"
"Don't be doubt stupid stuff without your quirk to bail you out." Lincoln said. Horoki laughed, "alright, see ya and goodnight Lincoln." Horoki said as he left the door. "Tell everyone I said goodnight." Lincoln said, flashing a toothy smile.
