"Open the door Magnus!" Alec shouted as he pounded against the wood.
Magnus usually left the door open just a crack or unlocked for him so, Alec figured that maybe Izzy was right. Magnus was probably angry.
"Can you at least talk to me...please"
With those words, the french doors to Magnus' apartment flew open and there he was. Hardly dressed. His fancy attire that he had on earlier was replaced with black sweats. And he was shirtless. Alec took off his jacket and hung it up on the rack next to the door as he walked in noticing Magnus' sweaty chest. His eyes widened when he saw the circular hole in the wall. The edges of it were burning, as if someone had just launched a ball of fire straight through it.
Magnus noticed Alec's wandering eyes and waved his hand, fixing the hole the hole as if it were never there. Alec's glare moved from the wall and back to Magnus' chest and it stayed there, watching the sweat drip down his pec. Noticing, Magnus held his hand out and a thin jacket appeared. He put it on, dragging the zipper all the way up and concealing his body away from prying eyes. Magnus' eyes moved glance everywhere but Alec's face.
"Look at me," Alec demanded in a firm tone.
He was clearly annoyed after having been forced to wait on Magnus' doorstep for the past ten minutes. But, Magnus wasn't giving in. Alec raised his hand to try and touch Magnus' face but Magnus swiftly caught him by the wrist.
"Don't touch me" Magnus scolded before dropping Alec's hand and heading toward the kitchen.
"You're talking now" Alec marveled sarcastically, following close behind Magnus.
Magnus grabbed a cup of icy water from off the table and abruptly turned around to face Alec.
"Just say it, whatever it is, I don't like it when you're angry" Alec pleaded.
"Like you care" Magnus scoffed while attempting to turn back around.
Alec caught him by the arm and forced him to face him again.
"I do care"
"Then why did you act like that today?"
"Magnus I told you, they can't know about us. We can't seem like anything to them. I'd rather them think we hate each other than risk what we have. I think we did a pretty good job of that"
Magnus gave Alec a sarcastic smile before responding.
"Oh you think? Oh good for you. I'm glad you had a great time slandering me in front of a room full of people"
"Hey that wasn't my inten-"
"Really? Because it seems like it came pretty easy to you"
Magnus paused for a moment waiting for a response from Alec and when he didn't get one he continued.
"I can't do this" he huffed, taking a long gulp of his water and slamming the cup back down on the table.
"Do what?"
"This!" Magnus motioned his hand between the two of them.
"Hiding, secrets, lies on lies, being ridiculed so you don't have to give yourself away. Is it that embarrassing to be with me. Am I not worth it to you, because if I'm not, tell me right now!"
"How could you even say that?" Alec said sternly.
The silence between them was somehow deafening.
Magnus tried to walk past him again but Alec grabbed him even more firmly this time.
"I said, don't touch me"
