Shine and Wally had fun exploring the castle at night, and easily staying in front of the guards.

"You feel like this is unfair? Like everyone else has to wait in line and pay to get in?" WAally said, while they were hiding aoudn one corner.

"I don't know, Babe, we get sent to these worlds with no money, no papers, and no friends, I think skipping a line and a ticket to see something that's been around for half a millennium might just be fair trade," Shine shrugged.

"Yeah it's fine, not like we're cositn ghtem really, ight? We don't pay taxes."

"What do taxes have ot do with tit?"

"Nothgn I guess."

"We probably should catch up with the either andg et back to work," Shine muttree, glanced at not calts windows. "I was sick of lsinslt them argue, but, I'm also not sure we shldu elav three adult sized children alone too long."

"Yeah..." Wally felt like they always were babysitting Mrko and Shigakrai whenever they were around either. Rappa seems about as bad just based on an hour of knowing him. Though he was cool mostly.

Suddenly, they heard something move.

"Was that a door?" Wally hissed.

"From in here?" Shine hissed bkac.

The night watch should ahv bene outside.

"Do you think this place ihuanteD?" Wally aid.

"I'm not Farid of any dark spirits,but hwy wodul they approach us anyway? More liel it was an animal or  thief, shh," Shien got down lower and moved into a more enarrow passage.

Wally followed, less smoothly.

They listened.

It was silent, but there was lan feeling of energye, like they wern't alone anymore.

Then a shdao passed by the passage.

They peered around the corner.

Three was someone movni donwth ahl, but virtually silently. They were dressed in dark colors.

"Theif?" Wally whpster.

"MAbye," Shine replied. "THey'd hear us for sure if we moved. But now that I've seen them, I can sight them."

Her eyes lit up.

"Wot hat lol so cool int he dakr," ally told her. "Wish I did that."

"It's prno best if one of us dosn have such a dead givway to ahivn powers. Bseise, you shoot off static."

"That doens sounds as cool.'

Shin waited. Okay they've moved far aneno awy now. LEt's go."

She followed the trail down the ahlwalay ND around a corner.

The castle wasn't like a medieain Western eurprioemean calset, this part of it was shaped quite different, but it was still stone and with a lot of ttwisn and turns.

And she found a hanign tapwsetry with some characters on it. [This is made up, I have no idea aif the ecals has this, but it's common for Japanese homes and plus, this is a hero world where changes could have been made--also this afan fic so who cares?]

"Can you read those?" Wally asked dher.

Shien's kanji elarni was bperty slow. 

She held up her phone and scanned the image into it.
