Laura
Once we get back to my place, I see it's empty. Holly isn't here, but I don't think too much about it. I'm sure she just got caught up in class or went over to Rony's place after classes to change. So, I' m not too concerned about it since I know Holly will be in good hands with Rony.
I take a shower and do my hair and make-up in the bathroom before I change into a new blue dress that I just got for Christmas from Holly. It's form-fitting, so it hugs down my body, showing off the curve of my hips and breasts the most. The long sleeves are lacy and the hemi is short with it only reaching just above my knees. It's not something I would usually wear but I decided to try and be a little more daring tonight. I just hope it's not too daring for the party.
Ross waits patiently for me, fiddling through my underwear drawer to keep himself busy as he waits in my room. He told me to pack enough clothes to spend the night with him, which makes me smile. I would spend every night with him if I could. I'm getting used to sleeping next to him.
"Okay, I think I'm ready." I tell him as I step into my bedroom. Ross looks up and his jaw drops as he takes me in. I fidget a little under his stare.
"Well? What do you think?" I ask him and he shakes his head.
"What do I think? I think you need to change, that's what I think." He says, surprising me.
I frown. "Why? Do I look that bad?" I look down at the tight blue dress and smooth out some of the wrinkles. I know it's not something I usually wear but I thought I looked pretty good in it myself.
"No, you look too good in it, that's the problem. I'm going to have to beat all the guys off with stick at the party." He stops in front of me and puts his hands on my hips.
I blush but smile. "Really?"
He smiles. "Yes really. In fact..." He slowly slides his hands around my waist and down my back before laying his hands on my bottom. His smile becomes wicked as he squeezes each cheek. "I am tempted to peel that dress right off of you and just forget all about the party."
"Ross!" I gasp. "Stop that now." I scold him playfully.
Just then my phone starts ringing. I don't look down at my phone as I grab it from my dresser because It's probably just Holly calling me asking where I was. I move away from Ross and his grabby hands to answer it.
"Hey." I say into the phone.
"Laura?" My father's voice comes through on the other side, completely surprising me.
"Father, uh, hi." I look up at Ross and he raises his brow, then he opens his mouth to speak but I quickly hold my finger up, telling him to be quiet. He frowns but thankfully doesn't say anything. I don't want to explain to my father why there is a boy in my room.
"Mi scusi?" My father speaks to me in Italian.
"Oh, Scuca. Ciao padre." I greet him back in Italian like he requires of us, before going on. "I wasn't expecting you to call me today."
"Yes, well I had some news I wanted to tell you and it couldn't wait."
"Oh?" I move away from Ross to sit down on the bed. Ross lets me but stands over me, watching me closely.
I wonder what could be so important that he would make an unplanned call. He never does anything unplanned unless the situation calls for it.
"Yes. You know how you're going to be interning soon? Well, I got wonderful news. I was able to pull a few strings and get you a spot here at my new business here." He tells me in delight.
