I've fallen in love with this wind
Which carries messages of your name
Months have passed till I'd last seen you
But these winds tell that you pertain the same hue.
I feel like a guard at the fortress
Who patrols for their master day or night
Sat under scorching sun or bear tundra at nights.
The only peace giver amidst this desert
Is this soul relaxing wind which blows at the sunset
And cast your mirage at the farthest.
My eyes twinkle my yearn for you
And I remain spellbound until the sun sets in the view.
Sometimes I come out in the balcony
After lighting the fire in the light house
Greet the wind singing in harmony
And hear to waves crashing loud.
The ebbing tide reveals patterns unseen
As if trying to trace your face keen
Candid are the sirens of the passing by ships
Urging me to imagine boatsman yelling sharp and slaves been beaten up with whips.
Sometimes while crossing the woods at night
Your memories spark a fire in heart of this knight
I pat my horse to make halt for a break
As I jump back on my feet, I hear trees shake
Quivering due to cold infused by this wind
I draw your still from the pocket along a pint
Of memories which unfold themselves as I
Unfold your portrait.
This wind bids me to return.
