Hello everyone! Thank you for picking this book up for reading. Thank you for having an interest in poems. You know that many people don't even treat poems as good literature. Neither I claim myself an established or profound poet, nor do I say that I have a commendable command of English. You'll see it shortly.
Keeping all aside, I wrote most of my poems during lockdown. Many are themed on lost or incomplete love. You may even find a handful based on patriotism. Yeah! It even shocks me. Summing all, I have compiled around fifty poems, the best of my work, here.
I call this compilation "A Long Road to Home". This title represents the journey I need to take before I can sleep. Similar to one taken by Robert Frost.
Also, I want to thank my loneliness who played a key role in motivating me to write such pieces. Indeed, it was a pivotal force for me. Lockdowns really cracked many people. Those were tough times and may God forbid similar events in future.
Also, People usually dedicate books to someone. Hence, I dedicate this book to my unknown and lost love.
To Melancholy.
