Chapter 22 what happened in spade

It's been a month since the day Asta and Yami had a talk about Asta not going to get himself killed and trusting that everyone will get stronger so he won't have to be alone anymore. During that time he and Yami have gotten closer going drinking and fishing or sometimes gambling and to Asta it was some of the best moments of his life. He finally felt like he had a father figure that cared for him even though he had no mana he was still strong and proved him self time and time again. But whenever they went drinking however Vanessa and Noelle would get mad at them for showing up wasted. Ironic that Vanessa's mad at Yami for being drunk. But nonetheless they both enjoyed their time together. Even if Vanessa acts like an over protective mother to Asta. That's the other thing with Vanessa acting the way she does with Asta and the hug she gave him when he went to go kick Nebra and Solids ass it felt full of love and warmth something Asta had never really felt before. I mean sure he had sister Lily and father Orsi but Asta was still an orphan and never really felt a bond with them to him they were just caretakers who raised him when no one else would. But with Vanessa he felt that mother and son bond. Asta is now seen laying down on the roof of the black bulls base gazing at the stars thinking.

"So Dante's my father huh guess that means I'll be killing my father and my aunt and uncle Asta thought.

Asta closer his eyes and remembered his time in the spade kingdom.

"Oh come on little Asta time to wake up we need to have some more fun Vancia said.

Asta lazily opened his right eye his left one was swollen shut up Vancia.

"Go to hell you psycho bitch Asta spat.

Vancia slapped Asta in the face after he said that.

"Now now what have I told you about talking like that you're gonna have to be punished Vancia said with a twisted smile.

"Do whatever you want to I won't break there is nothing that you can do that'll make me break Asta said.

"Oh we'll see about that Vancia said as she started to take off her clothes.

Asta's eyes immediately shot open at the memory and he shook his head to get the thought out of his mind. After calming down he went to look back at the stars.

"Had a feeling I'd find you up here a voice said.

Asta turned around and saw Noelle standing near the edge having just climbed up.

"Couldn't you have just flown up instead of climbing Asta asked.

"Well I wanna improve on my upper body strength because look at me I'm skin and bones Noelle said.

"Ah so I see you're finally taking the path of strength training Asta said while flexing.

Noelle just giggled at the display and laid next to Asta.

"You know the sky looks peaceful tonight Noelle said.

"Yeah it normally does that's why I like to come up here helps me think Asta said.

"Think about what Noelle asked.

"Stuff like leaving for the heart, spade,what'll happen after the war it can get overwhelming so I just come here to think Asta said.

"So this is like you're little get away area Noelle asked.

"Yeah it is I guess it's like that clearing in the woods the with that tree you could never hit Asta said.

"You still remember that Noelle asked.

"Of course I do it's when we first met and you freaked out and almost drowned Asta said.
