Chapter 17 Another talk

Asta and Noelle stared at each other neither saying a word just looking at each other. The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife and the room was so quiet you could hear a pen drop.

"I never realized how his eyes looked so dull before he looks bored Noelle thought.

"Fuck I feel like she's staring into my soul this feels weird Asta thought.

After a couple more minutes of silence Asta finally spoke.

"So I'm gonna guess you're mad at me Asta said.

"I am you should be resting not fighting Noelle said.

"Well I had some business to take care of first and besides I'm fine it was no big deal Asta said.

"No big deal,oh it was no big deal huh ASTA YOU HAD A FUCKING HOLE IN YOUR GUT AND YOUR HEART STOPPED BEATING AND YOU'RE SAYING IT'S NO BIG DEAL THE HELLS THE MATTER WITH YOU Noelle shouted.

"A lot of things are wrong with me I was kicked out of my home,couldn't show up to fathers Orsi's funeral even though he didn't really care for me when I was younger he was still there for me when I needed him,my best friend and rival hasn't been here for a long as time I didn't even know where the hell he was until he showed up just in time to make Vancia fuck off. I watched as the person who is pretty much my big sister get cursed by Vancia and I had to watch her suffer everyday before I came back here. Oh And also Dante is my goddamn dad so of course there's something wrong with me Asta said surprisingly calm.

"Wait Dante as in the guy who threw a bunch of boulders at you and stabbed Gauche is your dad Noelle asked shocked.

"Yeah he is so now I gotta go kill my dad that's just something else I gotta add to my plate Asta said.

"Then let us help you Noelle said.

"You don't know how much I want to,but I can't you saw how badly you got your asses kicked when Dante showed up, do you know how scared I was when I got there I thought you were all dead,that I was to late to save the only people that treated me like family once upon a time dead do you know how scared I was Asta said.

"Noelle didn't say anything but just looked at Asta with sadness.

"Noelle I'm scared I don't wanna lose any of you at all. So I thought if I made everyone everyone hate me when I died no one would really care but when I got here I-I just couldn't do it.

"So that day in the forest when you said you always hated me that,that was to make me hate you Noelle said.

Asta just looked at the ground not saying a word.

"Yes it was and it didn't seem to work did it Asta said.

"So wait why did you tell us to get ready against the spade kingdom Noelle said.

"That was supposed to be for defense only I had planned to-Asta said before he stopped

"Planned to what? Noelle asked.

Asta didn't say anything but just looked away from her.

"No Asta you weren't gonna face them on your own please tell me I'm wrong Noelle said.

"You're not Asta said.

Noelle just looked down at the blanket that was below her her eyes closed to try and keep the tears from coming out.

"You're such a fool you know that a goddamn fool Noelle thought.

"I met my mother while I was out Asta said.

Noelle's head instantly shot up when he said that.

"What do you mean you met your mother Asta Noelle asked.

"She came to me while I was asleep and it wasn't a dream cause she said she had summoned me there. we talked and i did the idiotic thing of yelling at her. I was angry cause she left me I didn't let her explain herself. But when she calmed me down I learned she did it for a good reason. Turns out she has the same thing as Henry when she takes mana away from things so she left me at the church so I'd be safe. But she regretted it soon after and hated herself everyday.

"What did she say to you Noelle asked.

"She said she was proud of me and that she loves me. That was also how I found out that Dante was my dad she told me and you wanna know what I did Asta said.

"What did you do Noelle asked.

"I laughed I fucking laughed when she told me this I mean the man who took my arm away is my goddamn father can you believe that Asta said chuckling.

"Can you believe that the man I gotta kill is my goddamn father life just loves to keep kicking me while I'm down doesn't it Asta said breaking into full out laughter.

"Oh Asta Noelle said as she wrapped Asta in a hug.

Just like with his mother Asta's laughing soon turned into crying cause I mean with all the shit he's had to deal with who wouldn't break down. (Not me I'm just built different)

After about 10 minutes of Asta crying he fell asleep from his wounds from the battle with the dark triad and he little visit to Solid and Nebra.

"Noelle seeing this tried to get him off of her so he could lay down on the bed but realized she couldn't move him. And now his entire body weight collapsed on her and they both fell into the bed. Now they both landed next to each other but Asta being the dumbass that he is thought Noelle was a teddy bear so next thing she knows Asta is asleep and is holding her.

"Goddamnit Bakasta let go Noelle said as she tried to push her self away.

"Hmmm quiet teddy bear I'm trying to sleep Asta said.

"Asta quit it this isn't funny Noelle said as her face turned red.

"Yeah yeah whatever you say teacher I promise I'm paying attention Asta said.

"Ok Asta's asleep we're in the same bed he's holding me tightly. Oh my has he always been this ripped (yes yes he has Noelle) well I guess this isn't to bad it's actually kind of comfortable. Oh who am I kidding I'm gonna enjoy this while I can Noelle thought as she drifted off to sleep.

"An hour later Vanessa decided to check up on the two.

"Noelle, Asta you two ok in here Vanessa said as she opened the door.

She looks inside and see both Noelle and Asta sleeping together.

"Oh I guess I'll come back later then Vanessa said with a grin on her face.

"Oh I can't wait to tease Noelle about this later Vanessa thought as she closed the door.

And there ya go another chapter done honestly didn't think it be done this quick but here ya go I decided that I'd add a little humor since these last couple of chapters have been fucking depressing any way let me know what you think till next time also Dante isn't Asta's dad we don't know who it is yet just so you know that know so don't worry that's not a spoiler.
