Chapter 13 A duel

"It's a good thing I was able to sense him or else you'd be dead Mimosa,so do me a favor and move back some Asta said as he shoved Zenon back and kicked him in the gut giving Asta some breathing room.

Mimosa did as she was told and used her magic to grab Yami and move closer to everyone else.

"Mimosa are you alright you're not hurt are you Noelle asked.

"No I'm not I would've been dead if it weren't for Asta Mimosa said.

Back with Asta and Zenon

"Tch you're starting to annoy me brat Zenon said.

"Well you see I don't like you killing people I care about Asta said getting into a fighting position.

"Do you really think you're in any position to beat me look at yourself you can barley stand Zenon said.

"Doesn't mean I still can't kick your ass you five head Asta said.

This comment pissed off Zenon as he charged towards Asta.

Asta expecting this blocked Zenon and using his head head-butted him making Zenon back off.

Everyone else who was there finally got out of their shock and immediately raised their grimoire to help Asta out. But Asta raised his hand stopping them

"Stop none of you get involved no matter what you'll just make yourself a target Asta said.

"But if we don't help you'll die Charlotte said.

"Yeah she's right Asta you our need help Mimosa shouted.

"Yeah come ya little brat there's no way you can win that with the condition you're in Yami said.

"Goddamnit listen to me all of you,none of you are to get involved in this no matter what happens to me don't get involved understood Asta said blocking another strike from Zenon and sending a slash Zenon's way to.

"Come on we need to go help the commoner Nozel said.

"All of you stand down and don't get involved Julius said with authority in his voice.

"But wizard king sir we have to help Asta Noelle said gripping tighter on Asta's cloak around her.

"No he requested that we don't get involved which means there's more than meets the eye here he's fought Zenon before so has Yami but how seeing how he went against Dante and lost, look Asta knows what he's doing so let him do it meanwhile we should get the injured back to the capital while the rest stay here to make sure they won't be followed Julius said.

Everyone reluctantly nodded at what he said everyone wanting to help but realizing that the injured took priority as a few went with them to hurry back to the capital while everyone else stayed behind.

Back with Asta and Zenon they were engaged in brutal sword combat neither one giving the other ground to gain the upper hand they were locked in a stalemate waiting for the other to tire out.

"You know after this is all over I'm taking you back to Vancia she's missed her favorite pet Zenon said blocking a slash from Asta.

"I'd rather die than go back to her Asta said throwing dirt in Zenons face blinding him for a couple of seconds giving Asta the chance to get behind Zenon elbowing him in the back of the head then delivering a slash across his back.

Zenon screamed in pain as he felt some of his magic power being drained at a fast rate,enraged he started to swing wildly having no semblance of proper sword fighting technique. Not that it mattered he was going so fast that Asta had trouble keeping up with him getting cuts here and there from the slashes he missed to block.
