The book of Ellie (remake)

Two

  We've finally arrived at school. The last place on earth that I want to be at. As the three of us walk down the hall, we're spotted by Caroline. The most bubbly and optimistic person I've ever met. Her blond curls bounce as she speed walks towards the three of us.

  When she reaches us she gives Elena and I a tight hug. "Oh my gosh. Are you guys okay?" She let's go of us and looks over at Bonnie. "Are they okay?" She asks her.

  I give Caroline my best smile. "Yes we are okay." I lie. Elena might be okay, but I don't think I'll ever be okay again.

  Caroline gives us both a reassuring smile before walking off to class. Her smile actually makes me feel better. Thank you Caroline Forbes.

  Bonnie walks in front of Elena and I. We both give Bonnie a look of confusion.

  "Don't look now, but Matt's coming this way." Bonnie whisper shouts to us.

  Of course Elena and I both simultaneously turn around and look straight at Matt Donavan. Matt is Elena's ex boyfriend. She broke up with him because our parents died. Or at least that's what she told me. 

  Elena gives a small wave. But he just pretends like he doesn't see her. But we all know that he did.

  "He hates me." Elena sighs.

  "No he doesn't he's just upset. It's normal, just give him time." Bonnie comforts her.

  I look over in the administration office. There's a guy in there. He's got on a leather jacket, white tee shirt, and jeans. And even though all I can see is his back, he looks hot.

  Bonnie and Elena follow my eyes, and they too stare at the mysterious guy.

  "Who's the hottie?" Bonnie asks smirking.

  "All I see is his back." Elena says with a shrug.

  "Hot back. I sense Seattle and a guitar player." Bonnie tells us. Ever since Bonnie's grams told her that her ancestors are from Salem, Bonnie thinks she's psychic.

  "You really think you're psychic huh?" I ask her. She gives me a smug look and nods.

  I look over at Elena. She's glaring at Jeremy, who just walked into the men's bathroom. We all know he's going in there to get the smell off of himself. Elena quickly follows him into the bathroom.

  This isn't going to be good.

  "Do you think I should go in there too?" I ask Bonnie.

  "No. I think you should let them settle it out themselves." Bonnie tells me.

  I nod. They're young adults. They can solve their own problems.

  "Alright I'm going to head to class." Bonnie informs me. I give her a small nod and she begins walking away.

  I should get to class too. I quickly turn around. But I turn a little too quickly because I bump right into him. The guy that was in the administration office.

  "Oh. I'm so sorry." I tell him apologetically.

  "No. I'm sorry. Are you okay?" He asks me.

  "Yeah. I'm fine." I say suppressing a chuckle. If only he knew the irony.

  I finally look up and into his deep green eyes. Woah...he really is hot. His brown hair ever so perfect and his jawline is ever so sharp.

"Well umm." I give a small chuckle. "Do you have a name?" I ask him politely.

"It's Stefan. Stefan Salvatore." He tells me. "Your is..." He trails off.

"Eleanor. But everybody calls me Ellie." I tell him holding out a hand for him to shake. He takes my hand and shakes it. His grip is firm and I can see veins flowing up his arm. God veins are so hot.

"Well I've got to get to class. But maybe I'll see you later?" I ask him whilst tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear.

"That would be amazing." He tells me before walking off.

I then begin my own journey to class.

"His name is Stefan Salvatore. He lives with his uncle up in the Salvatore Boarding House. He hasn't lived here since he was little, military family so they moved around a lot. His favorite color is blue and he's a Gemini." Caroline informs us. We're sitting in at the Mystic Falls Grill, one of the few restaurants in town.

"You got all of this information in just one day." I ask her. I admit I'm impressed.

"Oh please Eleanor. I got all of this between third and fourth period. We're already planning a June wedding." She says dreamily. She then gets up and walks off. I don't question where she's going.

"So how was your first day?" Bonnie asks me getting excited.

I tell her about my run in with Stefan and she hangs onto my every last word.

"Wait so how was his grip?" She asks me once I'm done telling her the story.

"Ten out of ten." I say dramatically.

Bonnie squeals. "You might have a crush on him." She jokes.

"Yeah right. He's more of Elena's type." I tell her.

"You don't have to let Elena have everything." She tells me. Bonnie looks past me. "Is that Stefan?"

I follow her gaze and see Elena and Stefan walking into the grill together.

"Well there goes my shot." I tell Bonnie.

"Shot for what?" Caroline asks reappearing at our table.

"Stefan. She likes him." Bonnie informs her.

"And you'd be dumb not to!" Caroline exclaims. "I'm going to invite them to eat with us." Caroline says getting up.

Now the five of us sit at a table together.

"So Stefan you were born here in Mystic Falls?" Caroline asks him. Oh don't pretend like you don't know this already.

  "Yeah I moved here when I was young." Stefan tells us. I can't stop staring at his eyes. They're so green and beautiful.

  "Any parents?" I ask him trying to gain more information.

  "No they passed away." Stefan tells us.

  "Guess that's one thing we have in common." I say sadly. Stefan looks over at me. I quickly look down at my feet. Why the hell would you say that?

  "I'm sorry." Elena says. "Any siblings?" She asks him.

  "None that I talk to. I live with my uncle." He explains.

  "Stefan if you're new here then you must not know about the party." Caroline tells him getting excited.

  Stefan looks up at me. "Are you going?" He asks me.

  I stutter. Parties aren't really my thing. But for Stefan I would go anywhere.

  "Yes. She's going." Elena answers for me. "You have to go." She glares at me.

  I glare back at her. She knows that I don't want to go, and the last time she forced me to go to a party....our parents died.

  "Yeah. I'll be there." I say reluctantly.
