Nine

I walk into the house. After my encounter with Stefan and Damon and finding out there secret, I want to lay down.

Except I hear Aunt Jenna yelling at the news anchor.

"What's that for?" I ask her. I plop myself down on the couch.

"Did your parents ever tell you why I moved away from Mystic Falls?" She asks me with disappointment in her voice.

"Wait....he's the reason?!" I exclaim. I look back at the T.V. He's kinda cute.

"Wait you and him?" Elena asks appearing in the living room. "He's kinda cute."

"He isn't cute. There is nothing cute about him." Jenna says with hatred in her voice. I get off the couch and walk towards Elena. She's holding a box in her hands.

"What are you doing with that?" I ask her.

"Got it yesterday. From the safe deposit box. Mom told Mrs. Lockwood that she would loan it to the founders council for the heritage display." Elena tells me.

"That's kinda cool." I tell her. Just then Jeremy walks in and takes a pocket watch from out of the box.

"How much do you think this stuff is worth on Ebay?" He asks. I roll my eyes at him.

I snatch the watch from Jeremy. "You're not gonna find out." I say putting the watch back in the box.

"It's mom's and dad's...you can't just give it away!" Jeremy argues.

"It's called a loan. I would never give this away!" Elena reassures him. Then the doorbell rings.

"I got it." I say walking to the door. As I open the door my eyes widen in surprise as Stefan stands there.

"What are you doing here?" I whisper to him.

"I'm here for Elena. I want to see if she'll go do something with me." Stefan tells me.

I sigh and move aside. Elena comes to the door, seeing that Stefan's here. They start kissing and I turn around.

I look over at Jeremy and we make kissy faces. Jenna scolds us before walking off.

"Hey Jer." I say getting his attention again.

"Yeah?" He replies.

"You understand that we would never get rid of mom and dad's stuff right?" I ask him.

"I guess." He says.

I put my hand on his shoulder. "It's okay to move on Jeremy. Mom and dad are gone and it's nothing we can do about it. Maybe you should take Elena's advice. But moving on doesn't mean that you forget about their death, it just means you accept it." I tell him.

He gives me a small smile, that I return. Jeremy then walks off. I look back over at Stefan and Elena.

"I've got to go but I'll see you later." Stefan tells her. They kiss and Stefan walks off.

"Gross." I say closing the front door.

"Oh please." Elena says dismissively. "Just wait till you get a boyfriend."

"Which will be never." I tell her. But a part of me knows this is a lie.

I'm sitting at the grill with Bonnie and Caroline. We decided to come here and hangout.

"You're taking Damon to the founders party? What about me?!" Bonnie whines.

"I'll go with you. I don't have a date." I tell her. Bonnie's face brightens up.
