"His demeanor was so cocky! And he called Elena, Stefan's rebound girl!" I exclaim. Elena, Jenna, and I are sitting at the kitchen table eating chinese takeout.

"It could be worse." Jenna shrugs. Jeremy then walks in with his hoodie up. He begins walking up the stairs.

Jenna bolts out of her seat and storms towards Jeremy. Uh oh.

"Where are you going?!" She demands. I can't help but give Elena a look. A look that we give each other. We're silently telling each other that we feel bad for Jeremy. Because he's had it rough these past few months.

"I get it, more stoner stories. You were cool, I get it." He says continuing to walk up the stairs.

"No, no, no, no, no!" Jenna picks up a random apple that's sitting on the end table next to her, and chucks it at him.

"Ow! Why....why...why did you do that?!" Jeremy stutters. They're both clearly annoyed.

"Listen up! Quit ditching classes or your grounded. Period." Jenna demands.

"Parental authority. I like it. Sleep tight." Jeremy says giving her a thumbs up and walking towards his room.

"Jeremy..." I mutter understand my breath. He didn't have to act like a fourth grader....

Jenna sighs once he's out of view. She then makes her way back into the kitchen where Elena and I sit, holding back our own disappointment.

"What am I going to do about him?" Jenna sighs. "He won't listen."

"I hate to say it but...ground him. Go through with the punishments, then he'll know your serious. He thinks that losing our parents gives him an excuse for everything. We have to prove him wrong." I tell the both of them.

"That's.." Jenna trails off. "A really good idea."

"Yeah. I just hate seeing him like this. And we're always fighting! I miss the old Jeremy." Elena exclaims.

"We all do." I add.

I walk with my candle in my cup. We're outside watching the comet pass.

Elena and I say hi to Bonnie and Caroline. They leave and Matt replaces them.

"Hey." Elena and I greet simultaneously.

Matt gives us a small smile. "Hey." He puts his lit candle against mine. He does the same to Elena's.

"Thank you." We both thank at the same time, again. Elena and I give each other another look. I swear it's not a twin thing. It's just coincidence.

"Your welcome." Matt says back to us, smiling at the fact that we said it at the same time.

I turn around and light somebody's candle. I look up at the person and realize that it's Stefan.

"Thank you Ellie." He says smiling.

"Your welcome, Stefan." I tell him.

I look up at the comet as Elena and Stefan walk off. I then look over at Matt. He's staring at Stefan and Elena.

"Matt!" I call out, gaining his attention.

He walks over to me. "Ellie." He says when he reaches me.

"Listen you've got to get over Elena. I understand that you loved her, but you cannot dwell on her." I tell him.

"I'm not-" Matt starts.

"Yes you are." I say cutting him off. "You can't stare at her or ask her about Stefan. It makes her uncomfortable and it's quite strange. You have to accept and move on. I know that might sound hard, but it's for your own good." I say nicely. I'm really trying to be nice about it.
