Stefan's Pov-I rush into my room frustrated. That was no animal attack. That could've only been one person.
As I walk in a crow flies through my window. I glare at the crow. That can only belong to one person.
As I turn around I see the man I hate most in this world.
"Damon." I glare.
"Hello, brother." Damon says smirking.
"The crow is a little too much don't you think?" I ask continuing to give him my best glare.
"Wait till you see what I can do with the fog." Damon replies, picking up something from off the table.
"When did you get here?" I ask him not so politely. He doesn't deserve my kindness.
"Well I couldn't miss your first day of school." He replies sarcastically. It's taking everything in me not to punch him right now.
"Your hair looks different. I like it." Damon adds, looking around my room.
"It's been fifteen years Damon." I remind him. My tone is still annoyed.
"Thank god! I couldn't take another day of the nineties. That horrible grunge look did not suite you. Remember Stefan it's important to stay away from FADS." Damon says with a chuckle.
"Why are you here?" I ask him impatiently. Nothing good ever happens if Damon is around. Nothing.
"I miss my little bro." Damon says sarcastically.
"You hate small towns. They're boring. There's nothing for you here." I argue.
Damon gives me a mischievous look. "I've managed to keep myself busy."
"You left that girl alive tonight. That's very clumsy of you." I state.
"Ah. That could be a problem...for you." Damon replies with a smirk on his face. I would love to wipe that smirk right off his face.
I shake my head. "Why are you here now?"
He sighs. "I could ask you the same thing. However I'm fairly certain can be summed up in a few words. The Gilbert twins." He smirks. "Both dead ringers for Katherine. Both have the looks, but you like Elena more. Honestly in my opinion, Eleanor is the better choice, am I right?" He pauses. "Is it working, Stefan? Being in her world...being around her? Does it make you feel alive?"
"She's not Katherine." I argue weakly.
"You're right. But Eleanor could be...imagine if she was a vampire with no humanity. That would be drastic." He laughs. "Tell me something...when was the last time you had something stronger than a squirrel?" He taunts, stepping closer to me.
I scoff. "I know what your doing. It's not going to work."
Damon shoves me slightly, making me angrier. "Come on. Don't you crave a little? Let's do it together." Damon says shoving me again.
"Stop it!" I demand. My begin to turn my hands into fists.
Damon ignores me. "I saw a couple of girls out there. Or let's just cut to the chase, huh? Let's go straight to Eleanor and Elena." He persists.
"Stop it!" I demand again, this time shoving him back.
"Imagine what their blood tastes like. I can." Damon taunts.
"I said stop!" I yell again. This time I allow the veins under my eyes to show. My eyes turn the usual red color and I bare my fangs.
I begin to run towards Damon, shoving both him and I out the window.
As we land on the hard ground pain shoots through my whole body.
I sit up quickly with a groan.
"I was impressed." Damon states. I turn around only to see my brother leaning on a bush.
"I give it a six. Missing style, but I was pleasantly surprised. Very good with the face." He mocks my growl. "It was very good."
"It's all fun and games, huh, Damon?" But wherever you go, people die." I state.
"That's a given." Damon smirks.
"Not here. I won't allow it." I tell him.
Damon's smirk grows bigger. "I take that as an invitation."
"Damon please. After all these years can you just give it a rest?" I plead.
"I promised you an eternity of misery. So I'm just keeping my word." Damon replies.
"Just stay away from Ellie and Elena." I plead again.
"Where's your ring?" Damon asks with yet another smirk.
"Oh yeah, suns coming up in a couple of hours and poof. Ashes to ashes." Damon says with a chuckle.
I begin to frantically look for my ring. I can't go anywhere with it on. That's how I can walk in the daylight.
"Relax. It's right here." He tells me tossing it over.
I quickly grab my ring and put it back on.
When I finish, Damon speeds over and picks me up by the neck, his vampire face on. And he throws me up against the side of a shed.
Enormous pain flows through me yet again. Then Damon speeds back over to me.
"You should know better than to think you're stronger than me. You lost that fight when you stopped feeding on people. I wouldn't try it again." Damon tells me.
He smirks as he hears a noise in the distance. "I think we woke Zach up. Sorry Zach!" He yells out. He then begins walking up towards the house, whistling.
