Venti • Dreaming

"Still dreaming?" He asked you, offering another kiss.

Venti's soothing voice sang as the harp's strings were played, he was humming to the beautiful instrument.

You were resting beside him, your head on his shoulder. Your eyes were closed and you kept listening to the soft music, the breeze of Windrise shaking the leaves ever so slightly on the huge oak tree which the two of you had been perched on.

You had been on a giant tree branch with Venti, both of you on a rare outing together. But when you were out together, it was always a time to remember.

Usually, you'd be at Mondstadt covered in head to toe with duties to do as a Knight of Favonius, but today was your day off. You got to spend it with someone you cared for deeply, however they had yet to know.

Venti was always such a 'tone-deaf bard' as Paimon would say, not really picking up the hints you dropped. But, it didn't matter.

You were able to spend time with him like you had always planned, loving every moment you spent together. Little to your knowledge, Venti treasured it just as much as you did.

Your love life was just blooming, your hearts full of love. You smiled to yourself as your eyes were shut, his voice filling your ears. You snuggled more into his side, a small chuckle rising from Venti's throat. Along with a small blush creeping up the back of his neck.

"Enjoying yourself?" He asked you, and you smiled. "Keep singing." You said softly and that he did with a smile, his fingers stringing the harp in his hand.

These little moments together kept building up your relationship, both of you still too scared to admit your feelings.

Venti leaned his head ontop of yours and kept singing, and you opened your eyes slightly with a slight blush on your face. You saw before you the little anemo crystal flies flapping their wings around you and the Anemo Archon, you put your hands out to have one land on your hands.

Your eyes sparkled as it roamed around in the palms of your hands for a moment, before taking off and flying again. The crystal flies were attracted to Venti's gorgeous voice ringing through out Windrise, even a few birds had been sitting on the branches above you.

You looped your arm around Venti's and cuddled back up to him, his head going right back ontop of yours. You smiled at this and watched as the crystal flies flapped through the air around you, leaving a bright green trail behind them.

The environment around you was magical, you felt like you were living in a fairy tale.

"Venti, this is a dream come true." You said to him honestly and he looked down at you in confusion. "A dream come true?" He questioned and you responded, "It's just, this is one of those things you read in the books. The butterflies surrounding us as you sing and we're together. I feel like I'm dreaming." You said and realize you slightly embarrassed yourself, heat gathering in your cheeks.

Venti laughed at your words and stopped playing his harp, "If you're dreaming, I must be imagining things." He said and an idea popped in his head.

"Y/N?" His voice called out, and you perked up slightly. "Yes?" You responded, still curled up next to Venti.

"If we're dreaming, may I try something?" He asked you and you shrugged your shoulders. "Sure, go for it." You gave him the okay, and he fully turned towards you.

He grabbed your face in both of his hands, bringing his face closer to yours. His lips pressed yours, your eyes widening by the second.

The crystal flies bright colors brightened even more, shining in the sunlight. They were happy that their Archon found someone to love, the birds above you chirping and flapping their wings.

Eventually, you closed your eyes and put your hands over his. The kiss was very sweet and short, but it was perfect for being your first kiss together.

His lips left yours and you both looked at each other with flustered faces. Venti and you both didn't lose eye contact, and you cheekily said, "Venti, I think I'm still dreaming."

"Oh are you? Let me fix that for you!" He said excitedly and brought his lips to yours once more, sealing the deal between the two of you.

You smiled in the middle of your kiss and looked at one another after your lips left each other, "Still dreaming?" He asked you, offering another kiss.

"Of course I am, it's a dream come true. The man I've sought after came to me first." You giggled and pressed another kiss to his face, your fingers lacing together with his.

The two of you spend the rest of the day cuddling up in the big oak tree, finally confessing your love to one another. Your relationship was closer than it ever was, and you were excited to explore this new path that was opened to you.

Venti's soft voice sang more, but this time you were in his lap. His arms were wrapped around you, your back pressed against his chest. You smiled at this and dreamt of you future together, knowing you could conquer anything with Venti.
