"Happy Valentine's, Y/N."
—
You and Shenhe were side by side in the city of Liyue, the bustling beautiful Geo city was filled with life and citizens doing their everyday normal activities. Your hands were twined together and the Cryo Polearm user had her sights on everything, figuring out how in the world she would fit in.
You couldn't help but pity her from how unfortunate her past was, her emotions barely showing in the past. However, she had slowly came around thanks to you and the Traveler themselves. Shenhe's curious eyes wandered on a food cart tucked to the side of the street, an older woman with a smile greeted the two of you.
Shenhe paused and the smell of the noodle's broth filled her nostrils, she starred at the food dreamily. You laughed at her and looked up at the tall woman, "Are you hungry? Let's try something new!"
You approached the old woman and held out a pouch of mora, enough for the both of you.
"Two please!" You said with a smile, and the woman dished out two boxes of Stir-Fried Fish Noodles. You grabbed a matching pair of chopsticks for the both of you and held out Shenhe's share.
"I've never smelled something so... delectable." She says and almost immediately begins to dig in, her once emotionless face grinning ear to ear."See? Isn't it better then what you eat with Cloud Retainer?" You huffed and leaned up to kiss her cheek, a light blush forming on her face.
"Y/N, we're in public!""Oh so what, it's Valentine's Day!" You exclaimed and waggled your finger at her, Shenhe beginning to ever so slightly give into your wishes. You both walked over to Third-Round Knockout and sat at a table, enjoying your meal together.
You looked in your container and grabbed a piece of the fish with your chopsticks, and held your hand
underneath the food."Open up, Shenhe!" You said with a smile and she looked at you with full cheeks, her face flushed. You both shared a laugh after she swallowed what was in her mouth and you watched her eat from your chopsticks.
Your heart was so giddy from spoiling Shenhe after the hardships she's faced in her time on Teyvat, you couldn't help but fall in love with the woman in front of you over and over again.
You kept your thoughts to yourself and happily munched on the rest of your takeout, Shenhe finishing up with you. You both threw away your trash and walked hand in hand to the docks, the Lanturn Rite festival had been in town this time of year.
Shenhe smiled at the scene before her, all the gorgeous orange lights around Liyue had made you starstruck. The floating lanterns around the Geo Nation made you fall in love all over again with the region, a pair of arms wrapped around you from behind.
A blush crept up to your cheeks and you snuggled into Shenhe's embrace, her white bangs touching your face. You both watched in silence as the lanterns rose in the sky, the usual night sky being lit once more.
The little paper objects looked like stars in the sky, you watched in awe as the millions of lanterns rose up and hovered in the air. Fireworks began to go off everywhere and citizens of Liyue cheered everywhere, a pair of lips pressed against your cheek.
"I love you, Y/N." Shenhe's soft voice said in your ear, and your heart stopped briefly. A large firework boomed overhead and a bright colorful heart exploded in front of you.
Tears streamed down your face, it was the first time Shenhe had ever said those three words to you. You had longed for her to say them this whole time and finally, she was ready.
You turned around in her arms, your tear-stained face shown to her. "Y-You said it..." You choked back a sob, holding onto her tightly. After the many months of the two of you dating, you felt complete.
You pulled back and smiled at Shenhe, who caressed your cheek with the back of her hand. The two of you share a kiss and another heart-shaped firework sets off behind you, sealing the moment.
"Happy Valentine's, Y/N." Her uncommon smile formed, and you and Cloud Retainer's student watched the rest of the firework show in each other's warmth.
