"You don't get to leave me again, it's not happening. Your staying with me."
—
You had walked into the City of Freedom, breathing in the fresh air as the guards greeted you at the front gate. You waved politely and thanked them, going inside.
Everyone was doing their normal daily activities, the blacksmith hammering down new weapons, the florist watering her flowers, dogs wagging their tails at you and barking, Katheryn giving you a wave from the Adventurer's Guild.
You smiled and waved back, your day was perfect. Nothing could stop your day, until you overheard a young woman say, "Did you see the mysterious man come in Angel's Share last night?"
Your interest was peaked and you listened in on the conversation, "Yeah! The blonde man with those bright blue eyes? He didn't really say much, just sat down at a table and was lost in thought." Another woman said.
Your heartbeat stopped immediately after hearing the person describe the man, but then settled down. There were many people in this world with blonde hair and blue eyes, take Jean and Barbara for example.
You decided to go check this mysterious man out yourself, until you heard the last thing from the two ladies, "But he only comes at nighttime. He must have busy days!" You looked up at the sky, and it was broad daylight. You thought to yourself and decided to go back home to think your thoughts out thoroughly.
—
You stepped in your rented apartment, the door closing behind you. You threw off your shoes and opened the doors to the balcony, stepping out and sitting down in the chair outside.
You had watched the people below you walk by, and soon got lost in thought.
What if the person that the lady described really was Dainsleif? What would you even say to him?
Technically, you weren't supposed to be alive currently. At the last second before your death, a certain knight peered over you and helped you out of the rubble. That was why you taken a liking towards Mondstadt, Kaeya had saved your skin.
Your entirely body was trapped underneath rubble, piled up on you. Until it was removed, and your body was completely crushed. You were holding onto a string of hope, and Dainsleif kissed you goodbye before leaving you.
His heart ripped into two, leaving you with one half while he took the other. He looked back to see that you had been gone, with no trace of the rubble even existing where you sat.
Dainsleif was never given an answer on if you were alive or not, but he had hope in his heart. Maybe one day, you would be reunited. But little did you know, that one day was very soon.
You snapped out of your thoughts and noticed that time passed by much quicker than you thought, and it was already dark. You quickly got up, slipped your shoes back on and made your way to Angel's Share.

Your hand twisted the doorknob and you walked into the Bar, Diluc waving at you as you entered. The bar was packed tonight, but it was expected. It was a Friday Night and everyone wanted to have fun after a long week of work.
"What'll it be, Y/N?" Diluc asked you, grabbing a glass from the shelf below.
"Grape juice? If you have it, that is." You said and Diluc's eyebrows raised, "No alcohol this time? That's not like you." You chuckled as he poured the grape juice.
"It definitely isn't. I'm looking for someone, mysterious guy. Blonde hair-" You began and Diluc interrupted you. "And blue eyes? Back of the bar, the guy is really quiet though. Don't expect to get much of a peep out of him." Diluc grinned and you tipped the pyro vision bearer extra than usual, being the nice person you are.
You took the glass of grape juice, and headed into the back of the bar. Scanning the crowd for anyone you noticed would fit the description. Well, scanning for Dainsleif is what you were mostly hoping for.
You kept pushing through people until you came across a table with a singular person sitting at it, he had blonde hair alright. Your heart stopped immediately after seeing the person, it was who you longed to see- Dainsleif.
Your grip on the glass weakened, and fell right through your fingers. It collided with the ground and shattered, your precious grape juice spilling all over the floor.
The sudden broken glass got the man's attention and looked over his shoulder, and locked eyes with you. Your jaw was dropped after seeing his face, and his body began to shake after seeing you.
"Dain...?" You asked him, walking slightly closer to him. His body was frozen in shock, he couldn't believe that you were before him.
You kept walking closer and put a hand on his shoulder, which caused him to snap out of it.
His hands slowly went up and cupped your cheeks, his thumb caressing your skin. Both of your hands landed ontop of his, and the two of you locked eyes."I saw you die- right before me." Dain said, tears welling up in his eyes. You had only see the man cry once before, and that was at the destruction of Khaenri'ah along with you in it. Now there was a time before you, and you couldn't help but cry with him.
You threw your arms around him, your lover in complete shock still. He was frozen in place, recalling the memories he had replayed in his head over and over from the past years. But Dainsleif blinked and his arms squeezed you.
"Let's go up to the balcony, I'll explain up there." You said by his ear, his hand never leaving yours as you left his embrace. The two of you practically ran up to the second floor of Angel's Share, your hearts completely captivated by each other.
The door shut behind you after you stepped out onto the balcony, your back pressed up against the railing. Dain's arms were on either side of you, your faces extremely close to one another.
"Kaeya found me, I'm not sure how he did it, but he saved my life. That's why I'm in Mondstadt." You said to him, and he just laughed at you.
"I'm just happy your alive." His hand moved back up to your cheek and caressed it. Dain's eyes locked onto yours, your heads slowly closing the distance.
Until finally, your lips pressed against one another. Your arms gripped onto his and you couldn't help but smile into the kiss, you were filled with so many beautiful emotions.
"You don't get to leave me again, it's not happening. Your staying with me." The man said, clearly protective. He saw you 'die' once, and he wasn't going to let it happen again.
Laughter came from your mouth and Dain's lips had been all over your face. Your cheeks, your temple, your nose, forehead, you were his.
"I wouldn't dream of it." You said, and continued your night filled with love and affection for each other.
