I eventually stopped shaking as I held a firm grip on the bat. I walked towards the fence which stood in front of me. Just breathe, your done with him...hopefully . The night was closing in and I needed to find shelter fast. Well maybe-, I felt a raindrop fell from the heavens and landed on the tip of my nose. Shit.
*Beez* my phone buzzed from my back pocket, I fished my hand behind me and slipped out my phone from its spot. I stared at the notification from messages only to see Mias name and below read:
"You should come over some time." With a smiling emoji at the end. I sighed and pushed my phone back into its original spot, ignoring her invite.
I looked around straining my eyes to find the nearest shelter or at least something to keep me dry during the upcoming storm. My eyes soon began to hurt from the straining, I decided to keep walking maybe luck will jump in again, now that will be nice.
I started walking again until I barely spotted a bus stop in the distance. I let out a reliving breath, well I have nothing else I thought while the raindrops became more thicker after each one fell. Before I reached the bus stopped, the raindrops turns into a heavy storm following with loud thunder, just then within a heartbeat after a while of just hearing loud thunder growing louder, making be jump every few seconds, was a long, bright, silver-blue lightning struck the sky.
Without hesitation I bolted towards the bus stop, dragging the mental bat behind me. I sat down on the cold hard ass seat, looking straight in front of me. The busy cars flooded the streets.
I can't live like this. What am I going to eat, or how I would afford it, or-
I got lost in my thoughts I didn't even realize a middle age woman stood in front of me. She wore a light gray knitted like sweater with a black long skirt. Her black hair was put into a messy bun which rested in the middle of her head in the back. A few strands was pulled out, flying wild in the thick breeze.
Her hand up rested on her chin as she looks like a teacher whose solving the worlds hardest math question, she starred at me for a few seconds until I slowly looked up and made eye contact.
She looked in my eyes, holding our eye contact longer as if she was searching for something deep I was forbidden to tell anyone.
Her thin lips soon turned into a warm welcoming smile as she softly spoke, she sounded she had patience, a pure heart, but that smiled looked as if it hid pain behind. As if she lost someone or even herself or just her heart left her body and she's trying to find it back.
"Oh dear, what on earth are you under a bus stop this late at night during a thunderstorm?"
She sat next to me, while her two hands rested gracefully on her lap.
I thought if I should tell her an excuse or the truth but then what happens if she calls the police and I ended up being home with my father and then things will get worse.
My eyes glued at the leaves on the ground, looking back n forth from one leave to another.
I guess she took the hint, and offered me dinner at a restaurant near by. I told her that would be nice and we began walking.
I know damn well I shouldn't follow strangers anywhere or go anywhere with them, shit like that but my guts told me to follow her. I guess just by judging her on her appearance and voice, I already made up my mind. I guess that's why so many kids get kidnap each year.
I got caught up in my thoughts again I didn't even realize the door opened up from the restaurant. The bell ringed loudly snapping me out completely, the woman stood on the side holding the door with a bright lovely smile.
