"Your very beautiful honey," Brenda looked at me following with a little chuckle. My hood fell down to my shoulder as we walked on the sidewalk next to the large buildings, which were incredibly structured.
Walking at night in New York was amazing especially when its cold night. Almost all of the building has a light from its window except some which were pitch black.
As people rushed through the streets and even the sidewalks were we walked, many of them cursed under their breath while most honked their horns from their vehicles.
"New York has its beauty, except it's people" Brenda chuckled which made me laugh.
"Your not wrong" I smiled at her
I believe people like Brenda brings out the best of me. She makes me feel safe, and like I can open up and not be judge. She's the reason why I've been the happiest I've been in the longest time and it's been only a few hours.
"I love taking walks in the cool weather," she glances at me, her eyes sparkling in the night shadows. "It's refreshing"
"I love running, anytime, anywhere." I felt at ease when I run, like I'm running away from my problems.
"Wanna run?" She beamed in curiosity.
"I'm up for it, if you are"
"Come on, we can run to my house!" She chuckles
As jogging turned into running, she has a bright smile.
As we ran, my heart started beating fast as I felt the burning feeling in my stomach. A smile grew on my face. I've been longing this feeling and I finally felt it.
I stopped running because my fucking stomach started with it cramping.
"Whoo that was great!" Brenda said while trying to catch her breath.
"Have you ever done sports?" I glanced at her with a smile showing off all my teeth
"Yea track when I was younger. I love running!" She giggled and shook her head
"Thank you Ms-"
"Oh please honey, call me Brenda. I don't wanna sound too old."
"You look beautiful and your not old" I looked at her, admiring her every aspect.
"Thank you honey,"
"I've always wanted a daughter." She looks at me after a while looking at the streets.
"What would've you name her?"
"Maybe Sophia,"
"If you like you can always call me Sophia,"
"Ohh my-"
"I know I only met you like a few hours only, but I honestly look up to you as my mother figure" I chuckled.
I haven't feel this way ever since moms passing but even then I didn't feel like this because she was more focus on Ben than me.
"I would love to have a daughter like you love!" Her arm went over me and rested on my shoulders as my head slowly fell onto her.
"We're almost home honey!"

We stood in front of a house with many windows and in front of the gate, a bicycle was braced on. A dog whose tail was wagging peered out a window while we walked up to the dark brown door.
"That's River dear," Brenda said trying to grab my attention from looking around. She points at the dog and smiles.
"He's adorable" I glanced at her and smile more happily.
As we walked in the dog ran from the window which has a couch below for him to stand on, and jumped on Brenda before coming up to me and practically throwing himself onto me.
As Brenda locked the door behind us, I took a look around her house. A hallway with pictures frames hanged on its wall while a table which I assumed was a kitchen stood in the middle of the room. Across the table was a slid door which led to the back yard and it's hammock.
"Let me show you to your room!" She beams excitedly as she leads me up the stairs and into a room.
"Woah" was all I can say while I looked around the room. The room was like twice the size of my room back at home.
"I hope you enjoy-"
"Thank you so much Ms-"
"Oh" I felt my my lips form a "O" shape after realizing that she doesn't want to be called that.
"You can call me Brenda!" She chuckled
"Thank you Ms. Brenda" I hugged her as she held me tightly before I released.
"I have some snacks downstairs. When you get comfortable, come join me- if you want!"
"I'll be there" I gave her a smile
After a few minutes I heard her calling me, "coming" I said as I walked out the bedroom until I felt a buzz in my pocket coming from my phone.
As I reached out for it, I realized I had to text Mia back. But to my shock it wasn't her.
"Hey it's Merikh, wanna hang?"
Ughhh
I texted back "hi" to Merikh before opening Mia text message.
"Sure, when?"
I can't believe I just excepted her invitation to her house.
Well we live once, so why not be friends with them.
